    Let me start out by saying the atmosphere was really nice, the service was great and our waitress was very sweet! We ordered fajitas and they were not served on a hot plate steaming from the kitchen, our food was lukewarm at best. It came with a side of beans that wouldn’t cover one tortilla. Probably will not go back.

    The food here is usually good, but it’s unacceptable when you tell the server about an allergy, your meal still comes out cross-contaminated, you start having a reaction — and they still charge you with zero care or concern.

    I LOVE this place!! My mom and I stumbled upon this amazing restaurant while running errands and we knew we had to come back. The food, the vibes, the service is all top tier. And not to put more hype on the corn ribs but they really are that good!! We had the queso fundido which was also BOMB as was the tray we got (I didn’t get pics of that cause we just started grubbin). We finished up with the Horchata bites and wowowowow what a great meal! For us going out is a big deal since we don’t do it often and to be able to patronize a local business with delicious food is really a win-win! Even though I live in Denver and she lives in Lakewood, we will for sure be back again and again and again!!

    The BEST Mexican food I've had in Colorado. They deserve 10 stars. I've tried what feels like 100 Mexican restaurants in the Denver metro, and nothing compares to Itacate. Enrique is an awesome bartender and always makes me feel welcome. My food suggestions: Start with the corn ribs, then grab a plate of the cochinta pibil tacos. If you're looking for a sweet treat, try the horchata bites. I found this place at the beginning of the year, in February, and have been back 5-6 times since. I try to take all of my friends who haven't been here for a meal at least once, just so they know that this place is the only Mexican restaurant you'll ever need to go to again haha. There's a reason it has a 4.8 star rating after almost 500 reviews!
