I will preface my review with this. I have been to numerous high end steak houses in the metro area and around the USA. With that being said, my wife and I went to Del Frisco's for a date night since we had not been there before. Upon arrival, our hostess was very nice and greeted us in a very nice manner. Our waiter was also great, and he was attentive the entire time we were there. Needless to say, Service was great. Let's keep in mind, we spent just under $300.00 for two of us. Now the food....... We started with the calamari appetizer, and I must say it was disappointing. The calamari itself were average but the vast amount of sweet chili sauce it was emersed in was overwhelming and overpowering. Not good. I have had some great Ribeye steaks in my time, and I cannot say that I was impressed with my steak from Del Frisco's. My ($85) steak was overcooked and dry and the mashed potatoes were overpowering with salt and butter. On top a having a $35 drink, I expected to have a better meal. My wife ordered seared ahi tuna which looked great and tasted good. unfortunately, the veggies layered under the tuna contained some pretty spicy jalapeno peppers which overpowered the plate. Not a bad tuna but my wife could not enjoy the veggies. Also the restaurant is very dark and almost gloomy. It's nice be able to hear the other person across the table speak but the ambiance needs a little more light. All in all, the food can use improvement. I don't normally like to complain because I love food and I do not skimp on the price. but this first visit was not up to par and I don't think we will be going back to eat here. Thank you to the great staff at the restaurant, you all work very hard and are professional.

So I’m giving it one star even though the waitress was nice and the inside was very pretty. It’s a steak house, the steak should be good. So del friscos in Washington DC is the reason I tried it here in Colorado. My friend and I used to drive 3.5 hours just to get steak in DC it was perfect. It’s safe to say I was very excited to eat at the del friscos in Denver but the skill difference between the chefs in DC vs the ones here in Denver is unreal. To start there was so much pepper used and burned on the steak I could not eat the steak alone, I had to eat it with the side I ordered to mellow out the pepper taste. Should I have sent it back? Yes but I didn’t because I the waitress was nice and I didn’t want to inconvenience her. The “truffle butter” which honestly tasted like house made butter with truffle oil added and seasoned with pepper and was over cooked (losing the truffle taste and burning the pepper) was just as unbearable. I’ve had 6$ truffle butters from Walmart that were better. Not to mention it came in a dish on the side where it was completely melted into just a pepper oil. I’m curious if they use ground pepper versus fresh cracked pepper and maybe that’s why it was so intensely burned. I also wonder maybe they pre-season and the pepper flavor absorbed into the meat and just extended the burned flavor. I really don’t know. I’ve seasoned a lot of steaks before cooking and never had it taste like that. I guess if they use an industrial broiler to cook their steaks that could explain why the pepper got so burned it’s really just technique issue. Not something a chef at a steak house should struggle with. I was in Aug. 28, 2025. I want to love it like I love the one in DC but I’m not willing to spend the money to get a steak like that again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5) We recently dined at Dalfresco Steakhouse. The ambience was great, and both our appetizer and salad were excellent — really started the meal off strong. However, when it came to the main courses, things fell short. My ribeye was overcooked and quite chewy. For a steak that’s close to $80, I was expecting something that melts in your mouth, but unfortunately, it just wasn’t tender at all. My wife ordered the swordfish, and it too was overcooked and dry. Overall, the experience started off promising but ended up being disappointing for the price and reputation.

Love that they are open all day and not just at 5pm like some of the other steak houses. Definitely more pricey than a Eddie Merlots, but pretty close to a Shanahans. delicious ribeye. Decent Chateau potatoes. The surf & turf trio is interesting, 3 filet medallions with a single shrimp, mini crab cake and piece of lobster tail. Was celebrating a job promotion and they got me a piece of their hibiscus strawberry cheesecake which was nice of them

My top 2 steak house in Colorado for the steak...the sides fantastic, but I always get the Cesar for overall satisfaction, and it was not a traditional, made at the table with fresh sardines, as my palate desired. Overall, I will definitely return for the steak, service and atmosphere
