My wife and I were excited to go to this lovely restaurant. The atmoshpere is nostalgic and just fun to be at. I think the night we went, they must have been having a staff shortage or something... We walked into the restuarant and there was no one to greet us. It was 5 minutes before an employee came by and grumpily told us someone would be with us. There was noone else waiting besides us. About 10 minutes later she came back and almost with disdain said "I guess, I'll get you a seat". She gave us the menu and said someone would be with us soon. The waitress was helping another table and walked past us several times without saying a word or even bringing us water. Sounded like someone was upset in the kitchen. Twenty minutes later, we got up and left having not been seen by anyone. I had been to this restuarant years ago and was very pleased with the experience. I hope they are able to get their employee problems fixed.

Holy cow. When I say this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had, I am not exaggerating.
TLDR: GO ANYWHERE ELSE FOR EDIBLE FOOD IN DENVER
Should have known it was going to be bad when it took us 15 min to be seated in a mostly empty restaurant. Only reason we stayed beyond that was because our friends brought us as this is one of their favorite chains from Florida and we didn’t want to be rude. Should have just been rude and we could have had an edible meal.
Here are the highlights of our truly terrible experience:
- 15 minute wait in a mostly empty restaurant
- very strong rotting seafood smell the moment you walk in
- sticky and disgusting table tables and floor floors
- server who outwardly said what an awful place it was to work
- did not get greeted by our server for another 20 minutes at the table
- received completely flat and was diet when we ordered a regular coke. Waitress told us she knew that might happen.
- silverware came with one fork kind of
- when we finally did place our food order took another 45 minutes to make our meals
- our friends steak came out and it is actually the color gray and he was asked if he wanted A1 sauce to go along with it
- all our food was truly disgusting we didn’t finish most of it
- when we wanted to check out because our waitress had not come back yet again we had to go find her and then wait another 15 minutes for our bill to be processed
- the table behind us no one ever came to take the gentleman’s order but somehow his son had placed a food order and when his son’s food arrived the chicken was completely raw on the inside - they comped the entire meal
- the manager let the seemingly one and only waitress in the entire restaurant struggle on her own without helping her even once
Here’s a list of all the restaurants in the area that I would recommend going over this place:
Corinne Denver (American, 1455 California St)
•Guard & Grace (Steakhouse, 1801 California St)
•Rioja (Mediterranean, 1431 Larimer St)
•Water Grill Denver (Seafood, 1691 Market St)
•Tavernetta (Italian, 1889 16th St)
•Osteria Marco (Italian, 1453 Larimer St)
•The 9th Door (Spanish Tapas, 1808 Blake St)
•Denver Milk Market (Multiple vendors, 1800 Wazee St)
Honestly this location needs to be shut down.

Even though i couldnt get any good sodas or stuffed shrimp when i really wanted it this place has amazing vibes and service. Nia was my server and made the absolute best of the situation and made me leave feeling satisfied despite the lack of certain menu items

I mean, how do I start? Almost everything on the menu is out? Literally, almost 50% of the menu was out and couldn’t be ordered? Who runs this place? It’s so bad even Forrest wouldn’t it here.

No fountain drinks. Server stated that they been out for a while now. Food was terrible. Kids couldn’t even eat the nasty pizza.
