When we arrived, there was a family ordering in front of us. The employee seemed impatient with an older customer who was trying to customize a sundae to match something she used to order years ago. The interaction came across as dismissive, including comments about how the order would “turn into water,” which felt unnecessary. I thought, they should call this place Dairy Jesus if they can turn ice cream into water. After the family finished ordering, the employee proceeded to make their entire order without acknowledging us or others waiting in line. Our mobile order was already prepared and sitting in the back, but we were not asked if we were there for pickup. This resulted in waiting longer than expected and defeated the purpose of ordering ahead. A brief acknowledgment or question about online orders would have made the experience smoother.
