Nirvana is a great restaurant with delicious food and friendly staff. There is on-street van-accessible parking within half a block, which is convenient. Upon entering, there is a long ramp that leads to the main seating area. While it provides necessary access, manual wheelchair users may need assistance due to the length and incline of the ramp. The tables offer good knee and toe clearance; however, they are packed tightly together, which makes maneuvering a wheelchair through the dining area difficult especially during busy times. The restrooms are mostly wheelchair accessible, but there are a few minor issues. The mirrors and the men’s paper towel dispenser are mounted too high to be usable from a seated position in a wheelchair. Additionally, the restroom stall doors have round handles instead of lever-style handles, which can be difficult for people with limited hand mobility. Overall, I had a positive experience, and with a few small accessibility improvements, the restaurant could be even more accommodating to all guests.

Amazing Naan, But Grill Items Need Major Help We recently ordered a large platter of food, and it was a real mix of highs and lows. Let's start with the low point: the Mixed Platter gets 0/5 was a total miss. Honestly, it felt like everything was just deep-fried rather than properly grilled. The shrimp was tough and chewy, and the chicken pieces were noticeably undercooked in some spots. This is the one item I'd strongly suggest avoiding until the cooking method is revised. Now for the good stuff. The Butter Naan was the undisputed star of the meal which gets 5/5. It was incredibly soft, perfectly cooked, and a real delight. The Mutton Vindaloo gets 4/5 was also good—flavorful with no complaints at all. Where things got confusing was with the other mains: Paneer Tikka Masala gets 2/5: This tasted exactly like a Paneer Butter Masala. It completely lacked the smoky flavor that comes from grilled paneer and charred veggies like onions and peppers. If you order a Tikka Masala, you expect that smoky depth, and it just wasn't there. Saag Paneer 4/5: It tasted nice, but the texture felt wrong. Instead of a smooth, pureed spinach, it was just spinach that had been cut up. A smooth puree really makes this dish shine. Finally, the kids' meals (chicken strips, momos, and fries) seemed like the standard frozen fare, which is pretty common for a kids' menu, so no complaints there. In Short: The kitchen clearly knows how to cook amazing naan and a great vindaloo. If you can fix the grilling/tandoor preparation for the mixed platter and bring the proper smoky flavor to the Paneer Tikka Masala, the quality would drastically improve!
