Management needs to be looked into thoroughly. There is literally no communication and no care from them. Ask the employees, run the numbers, and just see how badly this place is held together with duct tape and rubber bands.

experienced a negative encounter with a store clerk who was persistent that I go to a check out rather than a self check out. She kept telling me that I needed to go register one as it was open. I kindly informed the clerk that I wanted to do the self check out and thank you anyways she kept telling me that it was open. The store clerk told me that the self check out was only for customers who had 15 items or less. I had only 23 items and there are no signs that I saw posted saying express check out or 15 items or less. I kindly told her again no thank you and that I wanted to do the self check out as I am particular how I bag my groceries. The clerk ROLLED her eyes at me and then turned her back to me while blocking my way to get to a self check out. I said excuse me can I please get by to check out. She aggressively turned around and sternly said you have to wait!! I said okay and at that point the lady who was working on register one kindly came over to me and said that she would be happy to check me out as she was available I was at this point happy to get out of the store as I was shocked with the rude behavior and the lack of customer service of the other clerk who then chose to bag my grocery. I asked to speak to a store manager and informed the store manager of the situation who took my name and number who was also very apologetic also while I was informing the store manager of the incident the clerk that I had this encounter with decided to aggressively threw my potatoes in my cart. I am all about allowing someone to help me but the way I was treated was not okay and should not be tolerated. It is all about customer service and this was not provided. I enjoy shopping at Safeway. This was truly disappointed and I hope that the clerk that I delt with has a better day and gets some education on providing better customer service and treat others how she would want to be treated

I was attempting to get food from the “deli” while there I asked 1 of the two women for food. Neither one of them had gloves on and used her bare hand to open the bag and put her entire hand in the bag then put my requested food in there🤮 I refused the food called out the disgusting behavior. Reported this to the assistant manager who was kind, polite and made me feel as though it would be addressed. Although I will no longer get food from the deli I am glad to shop there after talking with the assistant manager who consistently greets and checks on me. If only all employees followed suit. Gloves 🧤 please!!!
