Very disappointing experience from start to finish. The service was extremely poor. We waited over an hour and never received our nigiri pieces at all. When the baked mussels, monkey brain, and edamame finally arrived, everything was cold.
At one point, the waitress asked how our food was. We told her we were still waiting on our order. she seemed to have no sense of urgency to resolve the issue. She simply said “okay” and continued walking around the restaurant filling drinks and handing out reorder papers. About 30 minutes later, she asked again how the food was and if we needed anything else, and once again our response was that we were still waiting on our food. During this time, we could see the kitchen staff joking and messing around, which gave the impression that the delays were not due to the restaurant being overly busy, just poor management from the new owners.
For an all-you-can-eat restaurant, these long wait times completely defeat the purpose. The staff seemed uninterested in addressing the delays, and there was no communication or apology for the poor service.
We’ve been going to Sushi Totoro for years, but this experience ensured it will be our last. Would not recommend.

I have eaten at this place many times over the past 10 years or so. I used to know most of the staff and all of the chefs. I saw the establishment change ownership and all the staff. I love the hot sake most of all the other sushi places I have been to. The rolls, to the best of my knowledge were good. This last visit however was my last. My girlfriend and I went, sat, ordered drinks then ordered food. Drank our beers and hot sake. Ordered and drank a second hot sake, 3 other tables were sat, ordered and received their ordered and a second order and we had not received our 3 rolls. We waitied for almost an hour and still no food. Ended up paying for the drinks and left. Not saying its race motivated but its worth noting that all the other people that were sat and fed before us were of asian descent. Again, not sure if that was the reason. Just saying.

We have been coming to Sushi Totoro since it opened. The food has always been great, the restaurant clean and the staff excellent...until this visit. We came at 7 pm, the restaurant was not busy. We were seated within 10 mins. All good. Then it took apx 20 mins to get our order taken after which we then waited over 40 mins for food. Once delivered the food was over cooked, the rolls were sloppy and fried food was burnt. At one point, they opened the back doors in the area we were sitting in to take out trash and left them open until I verbally had to say it was cold. Additionally, the bathroom and tables were dirty. Our bill was over $200, I'll take our business elsewhere. It used to be an awesome restaurant that we've loved for years. I'm not sure if its under new management, but it sucks.

I’ve been coming here for better part of 10 years and it has been my favorite go to spot ever, but recently from what I’m seeing a management change was put in and ever since then the food has tasted worse and worse and service has been getting worse. Tonight we waited well over an hour to get our food, only one roll for me and edamame, and half my edamame was still cold. The rest of my table waited the same amount. Normally I’d give the benefit of the doubt but they were not busy, it felt more like we were forgotten. Not to mention they kept the door propped open which has cold air blowing on us over and over. I used to love this place but honestly save your money and go somewhere better, this is not the same sushi Totoro that it has been. Sadly I will not come back here or recommend it anymore.

I guess there was a new owner change. We have come here once before and it was great. When we were sat there was 1 other table and many other tables a bit afterwards but they somehow
got their orders taken first and food before us. Our most recent visit was pretty terrible. Took over 20 minutes and us
flagging someone down to order the food - probably another 15 to get some of our food with another 10/15 for the rest. The sushi was falling apart, tempura app was thick and greasy, fried rice was decent. Our waitress was seen once and seemed very new but there was no other wait staff and the restaurant owner took our order and didn’t seem familiar with the menu items.
