I gave this place a 4/5 for food because their food is decently priced and usually pretty good! It depends on the day, but that’s true with any restaurant. I gave them a 3/5 for service (this was being generous). I go here a lot with my boyfriend over the past 4 years. They used to have amazing service, the best waiters/waitress. They recently hired new personnel. Not happy about it. There is a specific person which I will not name because I do think people should try this place, however under her management, our food comes late, she’s not nice, our all you can eat menu is always 20-30 minutes late after we’ve eaten the first portion. Also our amazing waiter is now cooking sushi instead of serving everytime we come. Definitely try the place, but don’t be surprised if you don’t like it based on this review.

I’m leaving a 1 star review to express how disappointed I am with this restaurant. I used to go here almost once a week and would always recommend this spot to friends. But within the last few month’s it has rapidly gone down hill, whether it’s terrible service, or extreme wait times. I’m not sure what caused this change, but I have also notice a 30%+ increase in prices as well. I’ve heard rumors of the restaurant being under new management but I’m not positive, either way it’s sad to see such a great restaurant go down like this. I miss the old staff, they were always very friendly and would great you with a smile. Now I feel that I’m an inconvenience and do not feel welcomed.

I have been eating at this restaurant for many years and was happy with the food and service
Today I am not happy at all
It looks like there is a new owner or management
It took a long time to get the appetiser and there was no water refill and even longer for the food
We had the usual all you can eat
As usual we had few pieces that were left with their shells only
The server demanded that we eat the shells or we will be charged extra
This is the first time this happened to us
And we been eating sushi for over 20 years

Waited for 1 hour 25 minutes for food.
Manager had an attitude, a "sorry for the inconvenience" would have gone a long way. 2nd time here, both times were bad.
Food doesn't match the images, they didn't bring out the full order. Currently waiting on second order, 18 minutes in so far.
Edit After 2 hours and 10 minutes we called it. Got one dish, missing items
Manager did take half off the meal without being asked. I added another service star

Sushi Totoro, all things considered, does a really good job. From what I've seen over years of going here, most people are doing all-u-can-eat, and the kitchen is working fast all the time. Very rarely have we had any concerns with service and if we did, its because they are just all working hard. The bathroom could definitely use a little better caring for, but that aside, we plan to continue going here for years to come! Great place to go if very hungry, or if you have friends in town.
