Stopped into a grocery store I don’t usually visit. Unexpected bonus: a free-range dog roaming the aisles. Gotta love those “organic” sanitary standards 🐶

There is hardly any baskets when you walk in, most times none. Some items are locked in a case.. you have to push a button and wait for an employee to come open it for you. Very strange for a guest. Then you go to pay and they have many self checkout stations and just one cashier. Just doesn't feel very welcoming. If there is internal issues, it is showing on the outside and is effecting guest experience. Everything is always in stock and clean though.

This review is SOLELY for the gentleman who pulled my order today. I frequently shop here and have just started placing online orders because I’m not able to shop in person on some days. I arrived at the store about 20 minutes early for additional items I needed to grab myself and it being thanksgiving items were out of stock which was understandable. I met the associate in person to tell him the substitutions I wanted because he wasn’t responding, I even went to grab the items so he didn’t have to backtrack and get them himself. He then proceeded to tell me verbatim “you need to order this much stuff a day or two before, you know it’s thanksgiving” “this order is a 50 piece and it’s putting me behind because everything is out of stock” “I’m supposed to be off in an hour but now that’s not gonna happen and I’ve been closing every day this week”. Trust me I get it but the delivery came off as very unprofessional and rude. You don’t know what my day to day looks like so you can’t tell me when to order my food. My order comes out and I didn’t select the option that I was bringing my own bags and my orders usually come out bagged. All of my items were kinda tossed in the baskets so I just had to throw them it the back seat, go back inside, get bags, so I can bag all 50 of my items. Hands down worst order experience I’ve had with this Safeway and again this isn’t for the entire store, it’s only for the individual that pulled my order that is the face of Safeway.
