I don't know if the store is under new management but it's suddenly a lot better than it used to be.
I want to give a special shout out to Bee in the dairy department, she went digging for me and found what I was looking for, even though she looked pretty busy. I super appreciated that.
The one thing I would ask the store manager is, please keep a better stock of the Lucern chocolate Toffee creamer. It must be a crowd favorite because it's always out. It's the only one I like, so if you could please keep it in stock, I would really appreciate it.
Otherwise just keep up the good work. 😄

This store has been going down for years. The maintenance on the store is decreased. The staff well. There is no such thing as a staff anymore. It's all a cart. And then when everything's screwed up that's when the staff wants to come give you a hand. King Soopers across the street is better. Walmart around a mile away is the other choice

I was already having the worst day of my life walking in to Safeway this morning.
But somehow TAMARA AT GUEST SERVICES AROUND 10:20 AM ON 12.4.25 MADE MY DAY EVEN MORE STRESSFULL.
Before I walked into this safeway
Safeway......I HAD JUST GOTTEN BACK FROM THE WAKE (the thing where family members look at the body of your deceased family members, before the funeral) FOR MY MOM AND SISTER. WHO PASSED AWAY IN A CAR ACCIDENT.
I was wearing a BLACK TRENCH COAT AND A FESTIVE SANTA HAT WITH MY LATE DADS MILITARY CAMO PANTS ON....when I walked into the store.
I was all over the place because I had to get food for all of my family members whom had flown out from all over the country...for the FUNERAL OF MY SISTER AND MOTHER
....ON THE SAME DAY.
So I ping ponged all over the store getting things that my family requested...cause everyone is here...
At the end of my shopping I called my boyfriend and he said I had spent too much money....so after I get my stuff from the Deli..I head over to TAMARA AT GUEST SERVICES...
#1. She greets us by saying "im closed...but I'll take you anyway"
I didn't like that at all...but I don't know what she had to deal with all day....so I just thanked her for working even though she said she was closed.
As I walked up and set my receipts on the counter along with the items....I had no idea that she was LOOKING IN MY BASKET AND THEN LOOKING AT MY RECEIPTS TO SEE IF I WAS STEALING.
I had 2 separate transactions that I needed to return specific items.....as she was going down the receipt...she was looking in my basket and said VERY LOUDLY ......I have video of this....and will post it once I blurr out the bystanders.....but she started grilling me about the deli food i had just gotten...and if I paid for it...
And I said im not sure...I have a lot going on today.
She says "WELL LET ME SEE ALL OF YOUR RECEIPTS! YOU HAVE A RECEIPT RIGHT?...
Then I tell her "I gave them to you, if its not on the receipt, I'll pay for it now...I. sorry...im kind off all over the place"
Then she looks at the case of water in my basket and says "YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO PUT THE WATER BACK IF YOU DONT PAY FOR IT"
The water was the FIRST THING I SCANNED IN MY SECOND TRANSACTION....BUT SHE HAD MY RECEIPT...AND WAS TELLING ME THAT I DIDNT SCAN IT.
So I walk over to the SUPER NICE SWEET BALD GUY AT THE SELF CHECK OUT...he was very nice to me....but I walked over to him to let him know that TAMARA AT GUEST SERVICES is saying that I didn't scan this water...
Yall..
AS I AM WALKING OVER TO TALK TO THE BALD GENTLEMAN.......
TAMARA AT GUEST SERVICES is
CALLING SECURITY ON ME.
So at that point, I just wanted to return the items and leave the store.
So as TAMARA AT GUEST SERVICES was processing the last of my return....she decides to say....VERY LOUDLY
"DONT COME BACK TO OUR STORE IF YOU ARE GOING TO STEAL"
then she proceeds to ARGUE WITH ME OVER HER NOT GIVING ME MY RECEIPTS CORRECTLY. SHE DIDN'T GIVE ME ORIGINAL RECEIPT OF PROOF OF THE RETURN....SHE GAVE ME A DUPLICATE...EVEN THOUGH I POLITELY TOLD HER IT WAS SITTING BELOW THE KEYBOARD WHERE SHE HAD ALL OF THE OTHER RECEIPTS SHE HAD PRINTED.
TAMARA AT GUEST SERVICES......sat there and told me " YOU PROBABLY FOLDED IT UP AND PUT IT SOMEWHERE"
I said " no I didn't, I laid them out flat on the counter then I walked away to speak to the self checkout gentleman (again really nice guy)...you didn't had it to me"
She prints me the DUPLICATE receipt of return...and then says to me ......AGAIN....(WITH A SOMEONE STANDING IN LINE BEHIND ME)
"DONT COME BACK TO OUR STORE IF YOU ARE GOING TO STEAL"
So thank you TAMARA AT GUEST SERVICES......
For making the day I had to see the DEAD BODIES OF MY MOTHER AND SISTER....EVEN WORSE BY YOUR CRUEL SADISTIC BEHAVIOR.
I will be calling corporate.
THIS is why you treat EVERY customer with RESPECT.
You have NO IDEA what someone is going through.
....And everyone makes mistakes...especially WHEN THEIR MOTHER AND SISTER TRAGICALLY PASSED AWAY.
I work in HOSPITALITY, SO I KNOW FOR A FACT.....TAMARA could have done better.

The deli is understaffed, so good luck getting service. They do not pull expired products from shelves. I find this very frequently all over the store but especially the dairy aisle and the meat corner by the produce. Last time I was there, I found yogurts that were over a month past their expiration date. Someone was nearby stocking shelves, so I let her know that I set aside the expired yogurts. She seemed annoyed by this and I watched her put the expired yogurts back on the shelf. Not cool.
I gave 3 stars because the deli and bakery foods are quite tasty. The checkout staff is friendly. They also have very good sales if you use the app.
Safeway: Please do better with expired products! And please staff your deli appropriately.
