The best word I can use to describe Lazy Dog, is unironically "Lazy". The food is honestly "fancy" bar food. It may look robust and hearty, but it's slopped together, lacking a clear culinary vision, and the actual food quality is lacking. Specifically, I ordered a Peanut Butter and Jelly burger (I had to get it without a bun because I'm GF). The quality of the beef was not that great, the ingredients were hastily "thrown on" without care, and being a Peanut Butter and Jelly burger, I expected... well peanut butter. There was a thin layer of jelly spread on but there was no peanut butter. I ended up having to order a side of it to spread on. Looking at my other friend's meals, I saw similar concepts of "lazy" dishes and, as I described above, fancy bar food. Additionally, I can't have gluten, not celiac, and being a restaraunt serving, quote, "Global" comfort eats, I thought they'd have more options and variety. There were a total of 5 (five!) GF entrees which included a basic burger options, a steak, a chicken, a rice dish, and one more I can't remember. And they do not serve any GF bun/bread options which make for a lame burger - and no, I don't want to spend $30 on a steak. On a positive note, the service was fine, a tad slow, the atmosphere was great, and I wasn't "severely disappointed" in my experience. I just think they ought to improve the care they give in plating entrees, provide more GF options or at least a bun, and own their menu items - if its a peanut butter and jelly burger, I want to see my peanut butter and jelly!

Had Mel (Melissa) as our waitperson tonight. Absolutely one of the best ever. Funny, knowledgable, full of ideas for great recommendations. Helped make the meal a great experience. Thank you Mel! The food was also truly special. My wife had the shrimp tacos which she was raving about after the first bite. Presentation and taste were superb. She loved her tacos and the sides. I had the Cowboy Ribeye Burger and the lemon tots. From my first taste, I could tell I was in for a treat. The burger was cooked to my request to absolute perfection. It was so delicious! I’m kind of a burger snob, but I have to tell you, this burger is rapidly climbing MY Best In Denver list. IT IS THAT GOOD. TRY ITAND SEE! The tots were crisp and tasty, the perfect side. The meal was just splendid. And to top it off, Tara the manager on duty, came by the table to say hi and ask how everything was. Nice to see an established, well liked business, still talking to their customers to get their feelings and any inputs. We appreciated her taking time for us. Everybody at the Lazy Dog Southlands tonight was at the top of their game. Chefs, wait people, everyone. A totally great dining experience!

Our waitress was awesome, my friend and I were campers (people who linger/talk amongst them selfs far after being done eating) in a servers section, it was obvious that she was about to go because her section was closed and she was very patient and she just reassured us that we were okay to sit around and talk as long as we wanted to but she was going to be leaving so we obviously cashed out with her but she was very polite about it and she never made us feel like we had to hurry up and eat that I appreciate. I wish I remembered her name but she had a lot of face piercings and I hate to describe her that way, but she was awesome so I hope her managers see this. Plus the food is GOOOOOD!!

My husband and I had lunch at Lazy Dog Southlands today, and it was one of our best experiences yet! We’re frequent visitors and always enjoy our meals here, but today’s visit truly stood out thanks to our amazing server, Britt. She was super attentive, kind, and didn’t miss a thing. Even with a large party to take care of, she managed everything flawlessly and made sure we were well taken care of the entire time. My husband ordered the Fish and Chips, and I had my usual Chicken Lettuce Wraps, both were delicious as always. It’s clear Britt takes great pride in providing excellent service, and it made our lunch extra enjoyable. Huge thanks to her and the Lazy Dog Southlands team for another great meal. We’ll definitely be back soon!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ohhh man… Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar in Aurora, CO absolutely crushed it! 🐾🔥 Let’s start with our waitress. Whoever she is, she deserves her own statue out front 🙌 She was fast, friendly, funny, accurate, and just flat-out awesome. We forgot her name (sorry!) but trust me, if you’ve been there, you know who I’m talking about. We made sure to tip her well because she earned every penny 💸💯 Now the food… WOW. My wife went with the shrimp tacos and was in full-blown happy dance mode after the first bite 🌮💃 I had the Beef Stew French Dip sandwich, and it was straight-up flavor fireworks. Tender, juicy, and ridiculously good 💥 To top it off, my wife’s meal came with a brownie and ice cream for dessert 🍫🍨. Bonus points for that! The vibe was great, prices were solid, and everything about the experience just hit right. If you’re anywhere near Aurora and want great food, great drinks, and even better service, Lazy Dog is the move! 🐶🔥
