We absolutely love going to Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar at the Southlands location! It may not be a fancy, white-tablecloth restaurant — and that’s exactly why we love it. It’s comfortable, welcoming, and best of all, we can bring our little dog with us so she doesn’t have to sit home alone. The food is consistently very good, with plenty of options for everyone. Whether you’re in the mood for comfort food or something lighter, they deliver every time. What really makes this location special is the people. Manager Keily is absolutely wonderful and sets the tone for outstanding service. You can tell she surrounds herself with a great team because the employees are friendly, attentive, and genuinely seem to enjoy what they do. If you’re looking for great food, a relaxed atmosphere, and excellent service — especially somewhere dog-friendly — I highly recommend giving them a try! Thank you, Jaki, Ed and Mia

We visited on Sunday, 2/15/2026, and had such a wonderful experience, largely because of our server, Britt. The food was delicious, but Britt truly made our night. From the moment we sat down, she greeted us with such warmth and kindness. She went above and beyond to make my mom, my sister, and me feel special and cared for. She shared the sweetest compliments and encouragement that genuinely brightened our evening. Even though her section was clearly understaffed, she maintained the best attitude and handled everything with grace. You could tell her kindness was not forced. It was completely genuine. She even gave us hugs before we left, which just shows how much she cares about connecting with her guests. Britt made our experience so special that we absolutely want to come back, specifically to see her again. Thank you for having someone like her on your team!

Came in on Monday, and our server immediately greeted us which was nice. My order was incorrect, which wasn’t a big deal but then I had wait 15-20 minutes to get my food again. I didn’t complain, but then when I was about to pay, I was charged twice for the burger. To make it up, I was given a card for 10$ off my next meal. It wasn’t until later I realized that the card stated I needed to spend 40$ to get my 10$ off. Prefer to not even come back at this point.

Went out for lunch with my family yesterday. Hadn’t been to lazy dog in a while. Sat on the patio and our server was Brit. She seemed nice. We got our food. Chicken was over cooked otherwise it wasn’t bad. Appetizer arrived from another. No check in by Brit in a while so I got up and found a small sharing plate for my kid for the appetizer so she didn’t burn her fingers on the cast iron. Brit checked back in when we were almost done. About 15 min After our food arrived there were no refills offers or check backs by Brit until the end of the meal. She came by and we asked for a box and the check/machine (since lazy dog doesn’t do paper checks). About 10-15 minutes went by after asking of watching her go to other tables with their checks, heading back into the restaurant multiple times (we were on the patio) or socializing. She came by eventually and asked if we were done which she already knew we were, again repeated we just wanted the check and a small box. Her attitude changed with the re-ask rather abruptly. She proceeded to again be gone another 5 minutes and rather aggressively put the box down in the center of the table then hover above my husband at the table while trying to find the check on her machine clearly agitated. She proceeded to thank my husband for his rudeness for asking again for the check and a box I guess because before her attitude changed everything was fine just super delayed from a server perspective. She became combative in front of my child which wasn’t sitting well. At this point I was asking for a manager as well because Brit was being incredibly abrasive. In my years of being a server I’ve not witnessed such behavior. She kept being forceful about paying which we planned to but want to talk with a manager over her horrible customer service. Whitney, manager ended up coming by after Brit was aggressively asking for a manager through the door and she proceeded to be just in ear shot while shooting us dirty looks with Whitney at our table. We weren’t looking for a free meal just not happy how the end of our meal went. Whitney ended up comping the meal and offered a gift card for next time which we declined. Super disappointing after an already long work week and we hadn’t been to Lazy Dog in a while. Didn’t feel like this was a one off incident either, just a huge unnecessary bummer.

We went for Valentine's Day and had their Valentine's Menu which was a great deal and good portion sizes, included a little bubbly to toast in the beginning which was an excellent addition to the normal "app+two entrée+dessert" menus you see pop up for special days. Food was great, nothing mind-blowing but the steak was excellently cooked and their Hot Honey Feta Dip was next-level good. Also a minor thing but important for me - the place was packed but I never felt like I had to yell to be heard, so great acoustics in there for sure. We will definitely be coming back!
