I am writing to express a serious concern regarding the behavior of a front-end manager during my recent visit to your store.
While I was in the back of the store near the produce section, a young man from that department was assisting me by explaining where I could find certain items. In the middle of this interaction, the front-end manager abruptly interrupted our conversation and directed the employee to perform another task for her, stating that it was his department. I was completely ignored during this exchange.
When the employee returned, I commented that the interruption was rude. He responded by saying that he was accustomed to being treated that way by her, which was concerning in itself.
Later, while checking out, I spoke with another employee near customer service and asked if another manager was on site because I wished to file a complaint. When he realized which manager I was referring to, he appeared visibly nervous and uncomfortable. His reaction strongly suggested that this behavior is not an isolated incident and points to an unhealthy work environment.
As a customer, I found this experience very disappointing and uncomfortable. More importantly, I am concerned for the employees who appear to be working under disrespectful and intimidating conditions. As a result of this experience, I will be shopping at a different Safeway location going forward.
I hope this matter is taken seriously and addressed appropriately.

Stood in line at check while the 1 person ahead of was checking. No help bagging groceries took more than 10 minutes while other employees stood around watched. I left and went across the street to King.

Went to the Safeway on 80th & Wadsworth in Arvada to purchase the prime rib they had on sale. It was 10 am and there were none available. When I asked if a rain check was obtainable, I was told no with a wave of a hand and a offhand "sorry.". Not good if you're looking to get kudos in the customer service department. Just another Safeway ploy to get you in their store. Just another reason I don't shop there. Not the 1st time this has happened.

It wasn't a bad experience, but not great either. There were no cashiers so you had no choice to go through self checkout.
The self checkout employee was awesome! He helped me so much. He was the only really good thing about my trip there. I was there about nine o'clock this morning. Wasn't bad but could use some improvement. Way better than the Safeway on 38th and Wadsworth.

I went in today to do some shopping and came to the deli section where another gentleman was waiting. And we've been waiting for about 8 min when we had to track down a worker to let them know they have customers. And she went to the intercom to get assistance. So were still waiting about 15min passed and no one showed up. So a gentleman went back to ask again and she gave attitude to the elder gentleman. She than rudely walked away and got a guy from the meat section who has long hair and he came over yelling at the elder customer in front of everyone. Yelling "WHAT DO YOU WANT!!" exact words. Which I thought was very unacceptable and very rude. To the point where other customers came over and was defending the elder gentleman because he was consistently yelling at the customers. And another lady came over and thought it was funny as she was laughing saying "I don't know what's going on I was on break" . And everyone agreed that if you're on break and leave your post than at least close it down. And she was just laughing shrugging her shoulders. And the safeway workers stood there laughing at the elder man making comments and I thought that was very rude and very much unprofessional. I was put in a hostile environment where workers was yelling at a elderly man. I will not be going back because of that situation. It was not human kind at all especially around the holidays. You don't know what people are going through. The workers acted like wild animals. Happened 12/16/2025 around 3:50pm.
