Food blows! Everything is pre-made and nasty. Service is sloooow! What a waste of a great view, to bad they just want to rip off visitors

We visited a couple of weeks ago as a fairly large family with children. There was only one other couple dining in the restaurant at the time, so it certainly wasn’t as though the staff were overwhelmed with customers. Unfortunately, our experience was completely ruined by a waiter called Petar. From the moment we arrived, he was extremely cold, unfriendly and rude. He repeatedly rolled his eyes, appeared visibly irritated by our presence and made us feel as though we were an inconvenience simply for being a family with children. He was also rushing and ushering us out despite the restaurant being almost empty. At one point, he was muttering rude comments under his breath, apparently assuming that we couldn’t understand what he was saying. Unfortunately for him, we understood perfectly. We chose not to respond because we didn’t want to create a scene or ruin the day for everyone else, but it left a very sour taste. I do want to mention Nadia, who was absolutely lovely. She was finishing her shift when we arrived and wasn’t our server, but she was warm, friendly and welcoming. It was a stark contrast to Petar’s attitude, and I genuinely wonder whether our experience would have been completely different had she been looking after us. The service simply does not match the price point or the overall standard and feel of the hotel. It’s particularly disappointing when one member of staff can completely overshadow what should have been an enjoyable experience. Management really needs to look seriously at the service here, particularly given that there appear to be other reviews mentioning similar issues. Petar’s behaviour was completely unacceptable and, in my opinion, is a significant reflection on the management if this sort of treatment of paying customers is being tolerated. I would not recommend visiting when he is working. One person shouldn’t be able to make guests feel so unwelcome, but unfortunately that was exactly what happened to us.
