Went here for an evening sushi dinner. Extremely expensive, like 600$ for a sushi dinner for 2 was a lot it seemed, but it was definitely worth it.

I believe this is one of the first Google reviews I have ever written, but unfortunately, this experience warranted one.
I took my family to Izumi as one of the highlights of my father’s birthday trip, and we left extremely disappointed.
We came for the business lunch, and the experience started very well. The atmosphere felt luxurious, and small touches such as the hot towels and complimentary snack set the expectations for a high-end experience. The fish starters were also excellent.
Unfortunately, everything changed with the main course. My mother and I both ordered the chicken, and both portions were served visibly undercooked. The chicken was pink/raw inside, with what appeared to be uncooked tissue visible around the edges. Whatever the intended preparation, we simply did not feel it was safe to eat.
We sent both dishes back. My mother received hers again and it still appeared undercooked. When she showed it to the waitress, the response was an explanation about different parts of the chicken rather than simply acknowledging the problem or offering a change. In the end, my mother ate only 2–3 pieces and left the rest.
I waited much longer for mine, and by the time it arrived everyone else had finished eating. This time it had gone to the opposite extreme and was completely overcooked.
What made the experience particularly disappointing was the way it was handled. After two problematic main courses, one of them sent back twice, there was very little sense that anyone was taking ownership of the situation. We decided not to order the desserts we had originally planned as we already lost any trust in the place and we were there for too long. Two small mochi pieces were kindly brought for my father’s birthday, but when the bill arrived, I was surprised to see that we were charged in full, with no adjustment or gesture regarding the chicken.
What was supposed to be a special birthday lunch ended with us leaving genuinely disappointed (and hungry) which is a shame as we really looked forward to this meal and paid not little amount for it as well…

Absolutely beautiful setting above Geneva! Food, drinks, service were all exceptional.
Drinks: Wasabi Martini and Shozu Negroni
Excellent wine list!
Loved the Toro tartare w caviar, tuna crispy w black truffles, miso black cod, and mushrooms w truffles.
Servers and somm were all excellent.

Überbewertet was die Location angeht, beim Sitzen hat man keine Aussicht ausser an den Stehtischen abseits. Essen sehr lecker, Preise übertrieben. CHF 90.-/Person inkl. Wasser und Drink, leider immer noch hungrig.
