The RH Wine Vault is part of the five-building RH Yountville compound located in the heart of Napa Valley. Built in 1904 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the landmark stone building has been reimagined. Defined by rough-cut fieldstone walls, a 24-foot cedar ceiling, luxe lounge seating and a monumental limestone bar, the wine vault specializes in rare, limited-production wines from Northern California’s top small producers. Do yourself a favor and make this a must-stop wine tasting experience during your trip to Napa. Add to it lunch or dinner at RH restaurant and you've now added 1 of the best wine tasting and restaurant experiences of your entire journey.
First, the historic building is quintessential Napa. The restoration, pun intended, is elegant and also magnificent.
It was a beautiful day, so after touring inside, I chose to sit outside. I'm so happy I did.
Before I continue, I need to shout out the individuals who made the experience so warm and personable. It's easy for a place of this caliber to project an elite-like atmosphere. Instead, Layla, the hostess, was gracious and accommodating. She even provided a guided tour!
Therese helped me navigate the incredible wine list and shared stories and details that made each sip more meaningful.
The stand-out differentiators here are the design and ambience and also the rare, limited-production wines from small producers... by the glass! It's a curated way of experiencing wines that you would most likely miss during numerous visits to Napa.
I plan on coming back. And, I plan on joining the wine club!
Thank you!
