  It's been awhile since I've been to Sonic. So I thought I'd stop in and give them a try, again. I ordered the Sonic cheeseburger combo and the the Ched R peppers. I found the Sonic cheeseburger to be lacking. The burger came wrapped in paper and it was smashed. The the the bun was thin as a cracker. I was hoping for a nice fluffy bun. However, the bun was tasty even though it wasn't light and airy. The beef patty by itself had no flavor at all. I was hoping for a nice beefy flavor. The cheese was not even noticeable in the sandwich. The condiments were good. I'm a big fan of the mayonnaise ketchup combo. The chopped lettuce was fresh. Had a couple slices of tomato on there. Pickles were tasty. I like the diced onions on there rather than sliced onions. It really makes the burger easier to eat. Pickles were nice and crisp brought a little bit of acid and salt to the Burger. The crinkled cut french fries were absolutely delicious. Crunchy on the outside, nice and tender on the inside. Well seasoned. They were super hot which was great. That's a good freshness indicator. Even after they cooled down they had a good flavor. I ordered a diet Dr. Pepper with my combo meal. Needed a bit more carbonation. The soda was little flat. It also had a strange aftertaste. Probably cuz of the water in the area. You get used to Bottled sodas and fountain drinks can frequently miss the mark. The Ched R poppers are a solid pass. The cheddar cheese inside didn't even taste like cheddar cheese. However, they were super crispy and blazing hot. I had to let them cool so I wouldn't burn the roof of my mouth. The drive-thru was fantastic. The person taking the orders and the person at the window super friendly. Super nice. Made my experience at Sonic really enjoyable.
