We had a 6:30 reservation (bar). It took a couple of minutes to check in, as party in front of us had no reservation. They were given our table and we had to wait. Over the span of of 90 min, we were never asked if we wanted a drink and our food which was merely sliders and a steak arrived 45 min later. Steak was overcooked and needed to go back. Sliders were burned. We ordered a glass of wine and that did not show up. We left before the replacement steak showed up and were never asked if we more drinks. We just asked for the check and left. In 90 minutes we only had one round of drinks and an incomplete meal. A waste of a date night.

Outstanding service, great for private events (you can even rent the restaurant for smaller lunch events when they are closed). Self parking is about $14; there's also valet parking. Extensive wine selection, food was spot on.

If you happen to have the time to go back and look over my previous reviews you will notice that as a general rule I am fairly liberal with the 5 Star ratings. Too many service failures to list here. Suffice it to say that I started to understand the lack of adequate service had to do with our Server being woefully undertrained. One easy example, when our Server used their breadcrumb tool to clean the table after the first course, our Server scraped the food crumbs into their barehand versus a bread plate or worse comes to worse, a table napkin, a “fine dining” cardinal sin. Same thing again after our entree course, but this time into the same barehand they had an empty champagne glass in. Disgusting. I asked the “ manager” to come over to our table after we had been sitting at our table for well over 30 minutes and our drinks had yet to arrive. I was very discreet in my appeal to provide our server with assistance, he rolled his eyes in a knowing way that indicated that he was not surprised that I was asking for help. I had to ask him to come back to the table a second time when my wife and daughter were finished with their first course and I had yet to receive mine, although our Server assured me that it was on its way out after they had dropped my family’s first course. Again, the knowing eye roll. The only reason that I gave the low rating for food had to having ordered the Rack of Lamb mid-rare and it came out badly charred on the outside and raw in the middle. Jeff at the door was very professional and personable. Same for the Valet crew. The California Cab Flight was exceptional. No, nothing, not a penny was comped. I have dined all over the country and not only is it not fair to the “fine dining” customers, but it is extremely unfair to the FoH team members that are woefully undertrained. Yes, the restaurant has a fairly decent rating. This was our first visit. I am hoping our experience was just a one off, but that is still no excuse when you are spending over $500.00 for a special occasion. I do not blame our server, this “fine dining” establishment is obviously in desperate need of a true Leader. If you happen to be a member of the ownership or a part of the corporate leadership team reading this, I can be reached at the phone number that I left on my credit card receipt with my name inviting the “manager” to call me.
