We came here 2 days back to back and was definitely not disappointed the first day we just wanted to try the place out and ordered the pork belly sliders and a brisket Mac n cheese. Both were amazing but… the next morning we came to get brunch and ordered the chili verde breakfast burrito along with the tri tip breakfast bowl and I must say that had to be the best breakfast burrito I have ever had! Plus the sauce with the salsa they give you for that bowl was delicious!!! I’m just upset that the brunch is not year around

This place should change its name to “holy cow” because of my God that was a religious experience! The absolute best BBQ in Whittier! Maybe even in all of Southern California! The tri tip sandwich is perfectly cooked, the bread they use is crusty but not tough, the BBQ beans have a great balance of sweet and salty, even the BBQ sauce tastes great! I have to talk about the macaroni and cheese on its own because wow! The macaroni and cheese reminds me of my favorite macaroni and cheese in the world which was the Mac and cheese that was served to me while working on Thanksgiving at Disneyland. It’s baked and cheesy and so flavorful without being salty! I cannot wait to come back and try more things!

Delicious pulled pork. Great fries. Friend was presented with his dessert, which included a candle to celebrate his birthday! Fun.

I found Steve’s BBQ in Uptown Whittier through HeyLA, and it totally lived up to the expectations. The ribs were unbelievably tender and packed with flavor, exactly what I was hoping for. The place has been around for 24+ years, and you can tell they know what they’re doing. Service was friendly, prices were fair for the portions, and everything came out hot and fresh. If you’ve been seeing this spot online and wondering if it’s worth the hype… it absolutely is. I’ll definitely be back.

Steve’s BBQ in Uptown Whittier is the real deal. The ribs were insanely tender and full of flavor, easily some of the best I’ve had in SoCal. You can taste the 24+ years of experience in every bite. Service was friendly, portions were huge, and the whole place just has that welcoming, local spot vibe. Whether you dine in, take out, or get delivery, you won’t be disappointed. Definitely a must-try if you’re anywhere near Whittier.
