I already know that Baskin Robbins’ chocolate & vanilla ice cream is amazing. They’re all I buy on a weekly basis from my local shop. Both are extremely rich & creamy, and the chocolate especially is hands down better than any other brand-homemade or store bought-because of the high quality chocolate used in the recipe along w real heavy cream and sugar. No cheap substitutes! I know, both flavors sound plain and boring but try them for yourself and you’ll see how good they are! The reason they sound boring is because they usually are when it’s other brands but not the vanilla and chocolate from BR. Recently while out of town, I ordered THROUGH UBER EATS 4 qts of ice cream from the BR Telegraph location in Whittier. I immediately received a call from an employee informing me they were out of chocolate and unless I wanted something else, the order would need to be canceled. I agreed to a cancellation and was told I needed to do it myself on the app. Through chat, UE claimed that since the driver was already on their way, I needed to compensate them for their time, etc and would still be charged $32. This was untrue as I’d immediately contacted the driver as soon as I’d learnt the order was to be cancelled. The driver thanked me and said she’d cancel on her end too (which she did). So while I’m trying to explain this to an UE employee through chat, UE forwarded my order to a new driver (who again cancelled after I text of the situation). UE then again forwarded the order and this time I got a driver who couldn’t speak/read English and therefore didn’t read my message and eventually picked up someone else’s order which he delivered to me. It was 2 kids scoops. UE had ample time to cancel my order. They sent it to 3 different drivers over at least 12 minutes. Yet even after going around and around and even providing pictures and details (the fact that the shop was totally out of chocolate quarts or that it wasn’t me that wanted the order cancelled didn’t matter), UE would not refund my full amount. They wanted to give me $17. Unbelievable! I paid $35 for 2 kids scoops of ice cream. I wasn’t even given the choice to take the $17, or escalate the issue and have a real UE employee look into it. It’s a horrible system. Even after calling and talking to a real person, they wouldn’t believe me when I said it wasn’t me who cancelled. Finally the next morning I decided to call BR and explain the situation. It’s not that it’s a lot of $ but I’m on a fixed income and BR ice cream is my one treat for myself. More than that, I thought I was totally wronged by UE and ethically it wasn’t right. UE ripped me off. The manager of BR, Elizabeth, was awesome. She listened to me, quickly understood what happened and looked into into it. She kept me updated as to what was happening and was instrumental in getting everything worked out. She went above and beyond when she didn’t have to. I really appreciate her common sense and attitude. She seemed like she cared and really wanted to help. The owner is also a very honest and fair person too. They could see that I got the short end of the stick even though everyone else had already gotten paid. It wasn’t fair and I’m grateful they understood this. Again, they didn’t have to do anything if they didn’t want to. I’m thoroughly impressed w both the owner and manager at this Telegraph location of Baskin Robbins. I know every customer situation is different, and I appreciate that mine was handled so professionally and with kindness and courtesy. From the ice cream to the management, this place is top notch. Nowadays, where you spend your $ matters! When I’m in town, it’ll be the only BR location I spend mine. The ice cream is superb but the quality of the people that work here is far beyond.

I walked in on a Sunday afternoon. I was the only customer. The server was in the back on the phone and never acknowledged me. After at LEAST a 7 minute wait, l finally got her attention. She continued her conversation as if l didn't exist. No "Hi, l'll be right with you", but she continued the phone conversation. When l finally asked if she was going to serve me, she said, "This guy is first", referring to the caller. I told her l didn't feel welcome at the store, did not appreciate the poor treatment, and walked out. I don't see how l can return to that store which is right down the street from my offices. You only get one chance to make a first impression.

I never leave reviews, but time and time again this place of workers seem to disappoint me. Today my wife ordered Uber eats and called to accommodate the Mocha blast into a jamoca blast. My wife had it on speaker and Liz who answered and said she is the manager was loud and rude to my wife.. in her deep loud voice she said she doesn't know who told us we can do that, but it's not allowed.. I understand if it's not allowed but it's unprofessional and disrespectful to speak to my wife like that.. this is the last time we'll give our business to this location.. we've order here for several years and it was always a hit or miss depending on the workers, but lately it's gone to crap, poor customer service. We have given our business to the other location on Whittier bld and today we made the mistake ordering from this location giving them another try.. the owner needs to step up and train those young women.. the reviews say it all! 3 star 🌟 more like zero.
