Thank you for being a part of celebrating my son’s national gold medal at the US Academic Decathlon! Everything about this place was great. We were sure to make a reservation as we were only in town for a few days. Upon entry, we were greeted and rode the elevator to the top floor. The host staff was extremely friendly and walked us to our table. We sat outside and the heaters and roof kept us warm and dry even though it was chilly and rainy.
The food was amazing. The spinach artichoke salad is delicious. The yuzo-miso vinaigrette is a must try. We proceeded to order a prime NY strip steak and lobster. These were nothing less than spectacular. We ended the meal with a pistachio cheese cake with a coconut cream sorbet.
Aside from the food, the cocktails are professionally constructed. My favorite was the macadamia white Negroni. My wife’s was the banana fosters old fashioned.
I highly recommend if you find yourself in LA and are looking for that real LA experience!

We've been going to Catch for 10+ years. They're currently going through a bit of a refresh - meaning they change seating and menu in order to be more upscale and charge ever higher prices. Purely speaking of the menu our last visit this week has been disappointing. For a restaurant that used to pride itself on fantastic fish, classic items like the whole branzino (which was fantastic) were replaced by generic dishes like a fish filet with risotto. It still tastes good but you leave a bit hungry (unless you're on GLP-1) and just overall underwhelmed with the feeling that you could have made that dish yourself.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Catch LA has been incredibly disappointing. Our first visit was a mess—there were blatant price discrepancies on both the dessert and drinks menus compared to what we were charged, and the service was so disorganized that we were constantly being passed between different servers. To top it off, our side of fries actually arrived at the same time as our dessert.
After that experience, the Assistant General Manager, Walter, personally reached out and assured us that if we came back, he would personally "take care of us" to ensure an amazing second experience.
We decided to give them another chance and spent nearly $800 on a full meal. Unfortunately, it was just another letdown. Despite his promises, Walter didn't even bother to stop by our table to acknowledge us. Instead of comping a round of drinks or a portion of the items we actually ordered, they sent out random, unrequested items we didn't want—a hollow gesture rather than genuine hospitality.
To make matters worse, after I reached out to management to express my disappointment, they completely ghosted me. Multiple follow-up emails have been ignored. It's unacceptable to lure customers back with empty promises of VIP treatment, only to deliver subpar service and then ignore them when they complain. Save your money and go somewhere that actually values its customers.

My husband and I had such a lovely experience here celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary! Our server Madison was incredible, very attentive and knowledgeable. He (and the rest of the staff we interacted with) really made the experience all the more enjoyable. All of the food and drinks we got were delicious as well. The chicken bao buns and strawberry shaved ice are a must!

If I could give fewer stars, I would we had reservation booked for many weeks and upon arriving were told we had to leave because we were wearing shorts —right behind us were two other parties who also had shorts on and we’re allowed to come in it is a highly discriminatory atmosphere.
Curiously before some changes, I was allowed in the restaurant and I can say with certainty the food is not good enough to justify any of this behavior.
