Let me start by saying my girl LIA IS AMAZING!! It was my girlfriend and my first time here. We’re familiar with the shopping center but had never heard of this brunch spot before. We were just looking to go somewhere to eat in between class. After reading the reviews, I was honestly a little nervous because they were so mixed. As soon as we arrived, Lia greeted and seated us. It was immediately clear the restaurant is severely understaffed. When I say Lia was doing EVERYTHING — and I mean (everything except cooking and I truly mean it). Despite handling the entire front of house on her own, she stayed composed, professional, and incredibly gracious the whole time. She was kind the whole time, and you honestly wouldn’t have known how much she was managing; she just handled it and kept things moving. She took the time to apologize and explain the situation, even though none of it was her fault. You could tell she carries it on the chin and does her best, but no one should be expected to run an entire restaurant alone. The food was good, the space is adorable, and the vibe is phenomenal. There’s so much potential here, and it starts with supporting hardworking people like Lia, who absolutely deserve a damn raise!!

I don't usually write bad reviews. I am a frequent and loyal customer to spots I like and end up going there often. After Saturday, I am not sure I would go back to this spot. We went for my cousin's birthday that happened to land on valentines day. She was super excited had called to make arrangements in advance and everything. When we get there we are told that we have to order from their one day menu and it would be 45 dollars for an appetizer, meal, and desert. Instructions from the beginning could have made things clearer. The waitress was yelling to explain things to us, but the table was set up in the middle of the restaurant and we were barely able to get into our seats. The waitress could not walk around us (later she would ask us to pass plates down because she had no access to the other side of the table). The appetizer (which again we thought we could choose one from the list, but actually it was everyone gets this...) was a beef empanada cut into two pieces, a piece of bread with pesto and a cherry tomato, and a deviled egg. I think the premise was you'd go with your boo and share everything? It was tiny, and only people that got the 45 meal got the plate, and it was to be shared so you got half of everything. The actual breakfast was OK. I got the lechón, my sister got steak, and other people got mamas breakfast. I probably would have paid 20 to 25 dollars for my meal without all the other stuff. I never season my food but wound up trying to soak my meat in black beans because it was dry and lacked flavor. Dessert was guava french toast with ice cream, and arroz con leche, again to share. The entire time stuff was overlooked, silverware, they brought out one small water pitcher for 11 people, confusion about menu, very loud and crowded where they set us, items were set, drinks were 14 dollars! The tab comes and it's 490 or 510 (they charge you a fee to use a credit card). Two of our group were vegetarian and did not want to pay 45 dollars for rice and beans... So that's 500 for about 9 people. Some of us had brought cash. We tried to give her cash and wanted to have the rest be on credit and she said they didn't split the tab at all. Not even for cash/credit. Food, drink, and service I paid over 65 dollars for a meal that was just ok.

We attended with the family for valentine's breakfast, menu was very limited and ridicously pricey. The service was bad not enough servers, as a pre fixed menu the food seemed as it had been out for a while and it was cold.

I recently visited this location off Citrus in West Covina, and unfortunately the experience left a bad impression. Let me start by saying the food itself was not bad, and the service was friendly. However, that does not make up for how poorly the payment situation was handled. We were charged a fixed price per person for a set menu, yet the portions felt noticeably undersized. For appetizers and dessert, plates were shared between guests despite each person being charged individually. If you’re charging a factored price per guest, each guest should receive their own proper portion — not be expected to split items. On top of that, nowhere on the menu did it clearly state that parties over a certain size would automatically be obligated to tip. While I understand restaurants may add gratuity, transparency matters. It felt less about hospitality and more about making sure they secured their money at all costs. To make things even more uncomfortable, we were told the total would be cheaper if we paid in cash. That alone raised concerns and felt questionable. Yes, the restaurant is cute. Yes, the food is decent. But none of that justifies almost $500 for four people, especially when you leave feeling taken advantage of. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst restaurant business experiences I’ve had. Good food does not excuse poor business practices. Happy Valentine’s Day…

When we came into the restaurant, we were seated immediately. We were also informed that we can only have the table for 90min; which was fine. We ordered the tequila flight; 10/10 awesome. Once we received our food, we opened our utensils, and every fork was disgusting. There was food on them. I requested plastic utensils, and no apology was given she just said ok. Service 3.5/5: The service could have been better. In the beginning, there were only 2 staff members who were doing everything in the front; seating and serving. They were obviously overwhelmed, which isn't good towards the customers. When you asked for anything; they seemed inconvenienced. Atmosphere 4.5/5: The place was cute; no real complaints. Food 3/5: The food was not horrible; it lacks flavor. There was nothing exciting about it. Bring your our spices 🤭 I would come back for drinks and fries 🤗
