  WE WILL NOT BE GOING BACK -- THEY ALMOST KILLED MY KID -- PEANUT ALLERGY !!!!! A group of us went there on a Saturday night. Let's start slow with the music was ungodly loud! It's an ice cream shop, not a bar. Families with kids weren't staying long. Our group couldn't even speak to each other while we stood in line. By the time we left, 2 people had insta-headaches from the music. We had to shout out orders to the staff behind the counter, who had to kinda shout it back at us to make sure they heard it correctly. The lobby was shabby & unkempt. Now, let's address the DANGEROUSLY incompetent service - 1 of our group has peanut allergy. We each told ALL the staff this as each of us ordered individually. There was a large young man & tiny young woman waiting on each of us. I told the man serving me & my daughter told the woman serving her, about the person in our group with the allergy - we both even pointed to him. Especially weary since I ordered a flavor with peanuts. After he did my order, the man when to the 3rd person in our party (with the peanut allergy) and USED THE SAME GLOVES WITH PEANUT ICE CREAM SMEARED ON THE FINGERS, he made a fruit smoothie for our peanut allergy person ... we paid & left & threw away the smoothie outside - money wasted. At the car, my son in law used a water bottle and hand wipes and hand sanitizer to wash peanut butter off his hands because it was also smeared on the cup. Good thing we keep these cleanup supplies in the trunk. The woman also used the same scoop from my daughters order for the 4th person in our party since she waited on them both. Since they clearly couldn't hear us & didn't care enough to turn the damn music down AND didn't care enough to change gloves/scoops between orders, they almost killed my son in law with the peanut allergy!!! Good thing WE paid attention. Other adults in line, before us & after us, were also commenting about the music when they shouted their order... Saturday night & no one stayed sitting inside. With all the locally owned ice cream shops, you'd think the national chain would work harder to attract & keep customers... apparently not this location...

  I usually don’t write reviews but want to call out the great service Lucy gave despite having no help during a very busy time. She was very attentive and helpful!

  For me, ice cream is pretty much the same at a chain ice cream place. So my rating would be based on the service for this kind of place. We drove through town and my kids wanted ice cream. A young male staff was patient when my son asked for samples. After my son ordered his ice cream, we were ready to head out the door. My son was having trouble with his crutches while holding his ice cream. He accidentally dropped his ice cream on the floor. He was upset. I was helping him clean up. That young male staff saw it and immediately offered to give him a new one. That kindness made a difference! Thank you for making my son’s night better. Another note to an older gentleman at the shop, thank you for offering to get my son a new one when he saw what happened. We really appreciate the kindness.
