  Ventura meat company is quality! The staff and owner ( Michael) are so kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The bacon is my personal favorite, worth every penny!

  They dont have anything you think a high end butchers would have. I have better luck from my local grocery store. This place needs to step up its game overall

  So I’ve been coming here for a couple of years. One of the reasons I previously loved this place was because of their reward program. For every purchase, you’d receive a reward point, these points would accumulate throughout the year, once you received so many points you could utilize a 20% discount. So all last year I continued shopping and growing my point total. Based on a previous suggestion from the owner, he said “often clients save their points to the end of the year, and get a standing rib roast receiving the 20% off”. So as I’ve done through the previous years, this last December 2025 I pre-ordered my $400 rib roast, as I went to check out, to my surprise, they changed their reward program, instead of the 20% discount that would have saved me $80, they offered me a whopping $9.00 off. And the girl work in me here basically told me I could take it or leave it. Needless to say, I’ll never give these dishonest people another penny of my hard earned money. I’d understand if they honored my discount and said they changed their reward program moving forward. After spending easily over paying for meat throughout the year, this was my thanks.

  Exceptionally clean, friendly knowledgeable staff. I got two different cuts of steak. Rib Eye and Sirloin square. They were both delicious. My rib eye was one of the best I’ve ever had. I normally go to Santa Barbara Lazy Acres butcher. This is better and easier.
