  This place my day today! The staff were all very friendly and had the coziest kindness vibe. The food had a great portion and came out very fast! I would love to visit here again!

  I ordered pick up, the food was not quite ready yet, so I sat at the bar and chatted with some of the waitresses working who were very friendly and attentive. The food was ready shortly afterwards. Everything was very delicious, highly recommend! I will say, however, to go easy on the spice levels. They don't mess around. I love spice, but went with the lowest spice level, and I am glad I did. The next level would have been intense.

  The atmosphere was pleasant on my first visit. I love the fact the waiter helped me with choosing options due to the fact that I'm starting my vegan journey. The food was perfect and affordable 😋

  A neighborhood gem that totally delivers! Chili Basil Thai Cuisine has officially earned a permanent spot in our dining rotation. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel like regulars — warm, genuinely friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. That kind of hospitality is rare and it sets the whole tone for the meal. The food? Absolutely delicious. Every dish was bursting with flavor — the kind of Thai food that reminds you why you fell in love with the cuisine in the first place. What really won us over, though, was how incredibly accommodating they were with our baby. No fuss, no awkward looks — just pure kindness and a willingness to make our whole family feel welcome. As a parent, that means everything. This is exactly the kind of neighborhood restaurant you hope exists near your home — unpretentious, consistent, and full of heart. We will 100% be back. Don’t sleep on this place! 🍜🌿

  We were really excited to try this place after seeing such high ratings, especially since good Thai/Vietnamese spots are limited in Ventura. The website looked great and the food photos made it seem like we found a hidden gem. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t match at all. The dishes we received looked completely different from the photos, with ingredients missing or replaced. The chicken fried rice was supposed to have vegetables like carrots, snow peas, and tomatoes, but came out as plain rice, chicken, and large chunks of onion. My pad see ew—usually a favorite—had barely any vegetables and an off smell, with chewy, unpleasant meat. The egg rolls tasted very processed, and overall the food just didn’t feel fresh or authentic. The only dish we enjoyed was the spicy basil chicken. Given the high ratings, this was disappointing. It may be appealing to those less familiar with Thai food, but it didn’t meet our expectations
