    To whom this may concern: I have never written a bad review, but what happened at that Subway today was absolutely not okay. I went today, 4/17/2026, with a friend to get lunch at this Subway location, 1466 East Foothill Blvd. Suite P Upland, CA, 91786 and we purchased around 1:15ish pm. My friend and I decided to sit down and eat. We’re eating, talking, and minding our own business when a woman who was waiting for her order starts talking to us. We were polite and just nodded, but she felt that one of the employees was in a bad mood and was being rude to her. I noticed that while she was talking to us, he was watching us. Again, minding our own business. Then I don’t agree with what she did, such as asking him, “Are you having a good day? Do you have a bad life?” I was shocked that she was asked that, and then he turned around and asked her the same thing back. Now, I was double-shocked, for someone who is supposed to work in customer service should not be responding that way. I understand the frustration, but that was not the right way to speak to a customer. I think she was frustrated and walked out because of his behavior towards her. Then again, my friend and I are minding our own business, eating and talking, and he says loudly, “You over there gawking, yeah, I see you.” We stop our conversation, and I realize he’s speaking to me. I was absolutely flabbergasted that he would feel comfortable addressing a customer like that, and two, cause an uncomfortable environment for customers. I did not respond to him because my friend has a disability (Down Syndrome), and she is sensitive to highly reactive emotions, which could cause stress for her. I remained calm and continued my lunch because I was not going to respond to someone who was being intentionally disrespectful and rude. My concern for this Subway location is that if this situation were handled by a different customer who does not hold the same calmness and patience that I did, it could lead to a risk of a more serious escalation and a different outcome. I will never go to this location again because of the hostile environment that happened today.

    As soon as I came I was greeted and helped right away 😊 they made my sandwich the way I wanted it and the customer service was great!
