I always feel guilty doing so because I know how it is working for a grocery store and let me tell you.. its not easy. Everyone needs to do grocery shopping but a lot of people take us for granted and I really want this store to get the recognition they deserve. I needed to pick up a few things. I was rushing because I did not want to intrude on the night shift stocking products for the next day. Never did they make me feel like I was unwanted and they did not make me feel like I was in the way. Everyone who was working this shift last night was incredibly so cheerful. Mind you.. it was close to closing too! I wouldn't blame them if they were on their off game but wow. I am truly impressed. I was pretty shocked because the Vons that I normally go to are quite rude no matter what time of day I go.. on multiple occassions. Hector, who was my cashier was so kind. Very attentive and so full of energy even though it was close to closing. I really appreciated him because he was a one man show and doing all the bagging himself. Never did he look tired or out of place. He was extremely quick and knowledgeable with all the questions I had. He was extremely careful with my groceries because I had a lot of fragile products too. I'm so appreciative because I was trying to make Christmas snacks and any crushed items would not be presentable. Thank you Hector! Michael, the manager is also very sincere. He answered all the questions I asked and was ready to give me an answer. I really want these two to get the recognition they deserve because I know this is how they are even though I have just met them. You can tell they are genuinely good people and we don't see that a lot nowadays because everyone is so busy and in a rush all the time. Thank you to Hector and Michael for helping me out tonight. Unfortunately I am moving so I won't be able to come here as much as I would like but thank you for making my night and just showing people empathy and compassion. You really never know what people are going though and a little kindness goes a long way.
