I had such a great experience at this Subway tonight that I wanted to be sure it got noticed.
Before I even arrived, I was really frustrated with the website. It kept saying my card was expired, even after I updated it. I deleted the card and re-added it multiple times, and it still said it was expired. After fighting with the website for a while, I finally decided to give up and just go into the store. I am so glad I did.
When I walked in, the store was not very busy. Caitlyn was already in the middle of making another sandwich, but she immediately greeted me. I explained what had happened with the website, and instead of brushing it off, she responded with genuine kindness and empathy. That alone made a big difference in my mood.
I placed my order, and Caitlyn was incredibly efficient and focused. She smoothly kept working on the sandwich she had already started while quickly getting my order going too. She really seemed to know exactly what she was doing. I also have a pretty complicated and, honestly, annoying order, and both Caitlyn and Nick handled it beautifully. They were kind, patient, and even joked with me about it, reassuring me that they had definitely seen “worse” orders. Their sense of humor and positive attitude turned what could have been an awkward interaction into something really fun and relaxed.
Both employees were professional, well-groomed, and clearly took pride in their work. I come to this store fairly regularly, and this was by far the best experience I have had here. Both sandwiches were made exactly as I ordered, and they were delicious. The bread even tasted fresh, which is rare for a late-evening visit.
They also did a great job on the business side of things. Both Caitlyn and Nick attempted an upsell in a friendly, non-pushy way, and Nick made sure I knew I had points available to use. That kind of attention to detail really stands out.
The only small piece of feedback I would offer is that some of the produce was looking a little tired, which is understandable later in the evening. It might be helpful for the prep team or owner to consider a later refresh so the veggies stay looking as fresh as the rest of the experience feels.
Overall, this visit felt like the kind of quick, personal, warm service I would expect from a small local sandwich shop, not a large chain. Caitlyn and Nick turned a frustrating start to my night into a really positive experience, and they absolutely deserve recognition for it. Thank you both for making my day.
