I had an exceptional dining experience at The Yellow Chilli. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting—perfect for both a special occasion or night out. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to guide us through the menu, making thoughtful recommendations. The food was absolutely outstanding. Each dish showcased authentic Indian flavors with a modern, refined presentation. The Chicken curry was rich and perfectly balanced, the butter chicken was comforting and deeply flavorful. The garlic naan was freshly baked and the ideal complement to every dish. Don’t miss their creative appetizers, like the savory samosas, and beautifully crafted desserts—they truly elevate the entire dining experience. What sets The Yellow Chilli apart is its quality ingredients. The elegant setting, impeccable service, and unforgettable flavors make this restaurant a standout in Orange County. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic yet upscale Indian dining experience!

Horrible Experience. Not recommend to anyone. Let me explained situation so owner may recognize me. We had guest comes from London. he wanted to try some good authentic Indian restaurant. I choose this because of Sanjeev's Kapoor restaurant. we ordered started, curries, rotis, veg biriyani and some other stuff. when we tested it, it horrible. Paneer kadai was sweet and not good presentation. we ordered one palak curry and it has no salt and no taste so we sent back to kitchen. they add some spices and gave back to us. that is ok. Birayani was horrible, too much spices (Khada masala) no other taste, no too much veggis. Our guest was talked to owner about horrible food because guest came for 2 days and we spoiled one dinner. When we ready to leave restaurant all food was there because nobody ate any food and we wasted our night and $189. It does not look like food was made by indian chef. That was not india taste. please do not go there if you want to eat real indian food.

Took my team out for a weekday dinner — a chance to unwind and connect — and unfortunately it turned into an exercise in frustration from start to finish. We had reservations, yet still waited an unreasonably long time to be seated. Once we finally were, the delays didn’t stop there — getting someone to take our order felt like another marathon. By the time the food began arriving — in stages, no less — it had gone cold, and frankly, most of us had lost our appetite by then. What made it worse was the manager’s attitude. Rather than acknowledging the service failures or making any effort to accommodate a group that had planned ahead, they were dismissive and unhelpful. The staff themselves were perfectly pleasant, but it was clear they were severely understaffed and stretched thin — not their fault, but a management and operational problem. For a restaurant that positions itself as a quality Indian dining experience, this visit fell far short. When you bring a team out, you’re investing not just money but goodwill — and this evening cost both. Would not recommend for group bookings until they sort out staffing and management.
