I visited Dairy Queen on April 19, 2026 at around 2:45 p.m. with my son, and I had mixed emotions about my experience.
I want to start by saying that customer service matters to me because I do a lot of reviews, I have a large social media following and I truly believe everyone should be treated the same when they walk through the door. When I first came in, a gentleman in a gray shirt looked at me multiple times at least three but didn’t greet me at all. No “hello,” no smile, nothing. It made the interaction feel awkward and unwelcoming right from the start.
However, I also believe in giving credit where it’s due. There was a cashier named Heidi, and she was AMAZING. She was friendly, welcoming, and had great energy. I even asked for her name because I wanted to acknowledge her. At first she seemed nervous, like she thought she did something wrong, but I made sure to let her know she did everything right. Her customer service really stood out in a positive way.
One thing that bothered me was when our order was ready. The same gentleman simply placed our Blizzard on the counter and said it was ready, then walked away. But right after that, he handed another customer their order directly, said “you’re welcome,” and told them to have a good day. That difference in treatment didn’t sit right with me. It may not have been intentional, but it definitely came off that way.
Overall, I will return to this location because of Heidi’s excellent customer service. I just hope the rest of the staff can work on being more welcoming and consistent with all customers. That was the only reason I gave three stars If it wasn't for that awkward experience I would have given five stars just off of the interaction with Heidi. Thank you Heidi for making my son's and I first experience at DQ a good one! :)

I ordered mint oreo ice cream and it was pretty melted. There wasn’t much Oreo nor mint. Customer service was pretty bad too. Would not recommend.

Stopped in for the "free ice cream cone day." Line was all the way down the sidewalk. They make you wait on line for 1/2 hour only to get to the entrance and see a sign saying they are not participating in the free ice cream day promotion. It is not that I'm upset about the free cone, but since there was a line 20 yards down the sidewalk, they could have stepped out and politely told everyone there are no free ice cream cones. It was just really very rude of them to make you wait in the long line for 1/2 an hour for no reason.
