I’m going to start with the good: very friendly manager and wait staff. But, for a steakhouse to not provide you a dedicated server and make you order through a QR code, it’s very strange. The cuts, sides, everything should have been explained and orders personally taken for the price point. At the end they recommend a tip on top of the gratuity charge already added despite not providing you a dedicated server. Everything being done via a phone is so impersonal for a steakhouse. The food was decent but overall a huge disappointment.

Great location only a few steps from the edge off the slopes, decor is nice and service was reasonable. We had a group of 10 and ordered through the app which is a bit odd for the price of the place - the first two mains came about 20 mins before the others. So very disjointed and not the family meal we envisaged. The kids filet mignon was very under cooked, we sent back but still rare after another blast. One steak pie was great the other very dry. And the NY strip I ordered was really a prime rib cut, enjoyable but not what was ordered.

There is a lot of room for improvement. Where do I start. When we were seated, we were given one menu and told to scan the QR code on the table for more details. Well, the QR code was not laminated and had gotten wet somit was curled up an difficult to scan. The ordering process is all done on your phone, which I am personally not a fan of and not what I expected in a steakhouse.
We ordered 2 glasses of wine, each different and we were brought out 2 glasses of the same. Our salads were way too overdressed, I’d recommend asking for your dressing on the side.
There was a group of 4 of us, 3 of us ordered the salmon and one ordered the French dip. One order of Salmon came out 5 minutes before the other 2, I then waited another 10 minutes for my French Dip. We had several of the staff coming up to ask how our meal was, each time we asked for our fries and potato. The fries came out after I was done with my sandwich along with the baked potato. As far as the meal, the Salmon was undercooked on 2 of the 3 plates. The sandwich was ok, but I really dislike eating a meal when the rest of the table is finished.
The dining experience was subpar and I will not be back. The last bit of advice I will offer is to decline any seats in the front of the restaurant, every time the door opens you are blasted by cold air. We all 4 had to keep our coats and hats on. Not at all what I expected.

We were very excited to try this place since we have come to Northstar multiple times over the last few years. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed with the service and atmosphere. Our food took 45 minutes to come out and all of the entrees came out at different times while appetizers came out afterwards. You have to order everything through the QR code even though we were told we had a server, but they were clearly understaffed. The physical menu did not match the items in the app, and the bar had items that were not listed in the app either.
The food was good, not amazing, but our appetizer was clearly cold and uncooked. We had to wait 10 minutes to get it reheated, but it was essentially tostitos chips with melted shreddt cheese on top. We got a salad with grilled chicken and the chicken was also cold. We weren't asked how any of the food was after being seated. We were told we'd get bread to start but never did, and honestly, it felt like no actual service was provided for the entire meal.

This restaurant is very expensive, and unfortunately the experience did not match the 5-star rating. I ordered a filet mignon, but it came with a lot of fat and no sides. Any side dish costs an extra $10, which is unreasonable for a steakhouse at this price point. I gave 3 stars because my husband and my kids steak was very good and cooked perfectly.
We also ordered the coconut fried shrimp, my advice don’t!! My kids didn’t like the mac and cheese. Ordering is done through a barcode at the table until a waiter comes, which felt impersonal for a fine dining restaurant.
Overall, I don’t understand why this place has such high ratings. For the price, the food and service kind of disappointing.
