While checking out with Cindy ( who was amazing by the way) Kris was waiting to help bag groceries. She looked up at me and said “yeah I’m not helping bag these” then proceeded to tell Cindy she had to do it herself. Awful customer service from Kris. Cindy was friendly and helped me bag my groceries as always.

Bizarre experience with summer the cashier. apparently just existing near a register now requires ID. Best part is when she insisted on carding a guy standing 15 feet away, holding an already purchased six pack, too. So… everyone in your group + anyone in the vicinity who shares the same race + any stranger you walk into the store with/made eye contact with… will automatically be grouped with you and will get carded! Next level overkill lol. You should win employee of the year, summer!👏🏼

Cashier summer should go back to her parents and learn some manners. Saying slurs in another language to my face. I guess they just hire anyone nowadays. I'm going to file a formal complaint.

Came to Safeway for wine, accidentally entered a full-blown FBI field exercise. Checkout started normally: one person, one bottle of wine, one ID. Great. Efficient. Logical. But then—plot twist—the cashier activated what I can only describe as “Mission: Impossible – Lake Tahoe Edition.” Suddenly, this was no longer a grocery run. It was a group interrogation. IDs were requested not just from the buyer, but from anyone within a 20-foot radius who had ever made eye contact with them. I’m pretty sure if you walked in together, parked near each other, or even thought about wine in the same zip code, you were getting carded. At one point, it felt like she had been running surveillance since we entered the store. “You came in together.” Ma’am, we’re staying in the same Airbnb, not running an underground wine syndicate. Also worth noting: our highly suspicious haul consisted of candy, cookies, popcorn… and one single bottle of wine. Truly the kind of operation that keeps law enforcement up at night. To her credit, she was very proud of her bartending experience, which I assume includes spotting fake IDs, international espionage, and possibly mind-reading. Good news: every single person was of legal age. Bad news: we now feel like we passed a TSA background check just to buy a $12 bottle of Pinot Grigio and some Sour Patch Kids. Overall, 10/10 for commitment to the bit. Would recommend if you enjoy your grocery shopping with a side of light interrogation and character development.

Summer was legit the worse cashier I’ve ever seen it was the strangest experience of my life she was throwing around our groceries with no care in the world. And the cherry at top, she said nothing the whole time except for the end where in the most sarcastic and impolite tone ever said “do I want a recipe and to have a great day” Horrible customer service someone do something about summer and her attitude.
