- SCS CDec 29, 20251.0Crowded aisles Not the 2025 version but more like the 1990s. Poor inventory and poor choices Terrible parking had to park over behind the bank and the golf course Can’t imagine Tahoe city with only one small grocery store in inadequate parking. Christmas holidays are bad enough. I can’t imagine what it’s going to be like at Fourth of July And the whole summer.
- AAA ANSDec 29, 20251.0Nearly empty egg section and bread sections. Only ~ $9 eggs were left. Shelves were bare in many aisles. Parking lot was completely full and cars circled the lot looking for parking. Smaller produce section compared to other Safeways. They run out of produce and items on special. No carts are available when you walk through the doors, they’re all in the parking lot. It’s a smaller Safeway than the old Safeway further down the street with less inventory and smaller parking lot. The old Safeway was crowded and since Safeway moved to this location the crowds lack of inventory means a more chaotic atmosphere for grocery shopping at the only major grocery store in Tahoe City. Wish they kept both Safeway stores open.
