they should be shut down just based on the disgusting floor and toilette in their bathroom. You are a shame to the Safeway name and humanity actually.

I can't believe what just happened to me at this Safeway. I rode my bike here to buy myself some dinner and a gallon of water. I go in buy the 2 items and I go out front of the building and my phone only works on WiFi and I don't have wifi at my house. So I use the free Safeway WiFi to make a call and check my messages. I wasn't outside no more than 8 minutes and I see a employee come out and look at me and he's speaking on the phone and after he stares at me for maybe 20 seconds he goes back inside. I finish checking my messages and leave to go back home. Well guess what? The employee was on the phone with the sheriff and told them to come there because I was loitering!!! And I'm a few blocks away from the store and the sheriff stopped me and tried to I'd me and harass me. He was counting on me being scared and not knowing my civil rights. Well I do have a past criminal record, nothing violent or no weirdo charges, just drugs. I was an addict through out my 20's and now I'm recovered. And when I was incarcerated I decided to learn about the law and study it. That's the best thing you can bring to court, knowledge. Anyway back to just a little bit ago. I rode away from the sheriff because he didn't have any reason to detain me. What makes me mad about the whole thing is the store employee. If me being out front using their free WiFi for their customers to use, was a problem. Then why couldn't they be a normal human being and COMMUNICATE with me? Say " excuse me sir but there's no loitering allowed here? I would of left no problem. But almost no one knows what the definition of" loitering " is. 1. A person who is about to commit a crime. 2. A person who is in a area for no apparent reason. That's the definition of loitering. Both of which I wasn't doing. I successfully discharged my probation 3 years ago. And haven't committed a crime since then and I don't ever intend to. The second, standing around for no apparent reason. I was a paying customer and since they provide free WiFi to their customers I decided to use it just to make a short call and check my messages. That's the reason I was out front for 8 minutes tops. I am so sick of people that refuse to communicate and profile and Go straight to calling the police. That's very unprofessional employee conduct. I'm very disappointed in this Safeway and will never be returning there to do my shopping. P.S. also back when I was an addict I lived in the South Bay and have never been to this Safeway and have never shoplifted here ever. So it's not like they knew me or anything. They should train their employees to be professional and respectful. Which takes COMMUNICATION!!! I'm severely disappointed and hope that this doesn't happen to anyone else again. Teach your employees better people skills.
