The bread loaf I bought here was fully proofed (unlike a few other stores I won’t mention) not like an oversized baguette, It filled the bag. All the baked goods looked outstanding. Highly recommend stopping in. Good job bakery !

The women's by the bakery looked like it had not been cleaned in months. Every surface was complete filth. I couldn't even use the toilet I just left and held it. The bathrooms are worse than an unlocked gas station bathroom in Castro valley for a direct comparison. The fact people that work there have to use these and then work around food, or customers use them and then touch produce, you should be ASHAMED of yourself. If you can't have someone to clean it the general manger should get in there and take care of it. GROSS GROSS GROSSSSSS.

While going down the cereal aisle, an employee was unpacking right where I needed to walk. She turned my way and sighed heavily, prompting me to apologize for needing to shop in the aisle she was working in. The exact same thing happened the next time I needed cereal! The last time I shopped there, I chose the self-checkout to avoid the feeling of being a burden to a checker, and yet I ended up needing assistance anyway, with a product that didn't register as a sale item. I turned to the group of employees that were talking to each other and I waited for a break in their conversation. I then said I had a question, and the lady snidely remarked that she "wasn't a mind reader." I didn't need her to be, though? I am tired of feeling like a piece of trash for existing in this Safeway and wish there were another one closer to where I live.
