  👍😊 Beautiful new Vons opened October 2025. (Please note, many of the bad Reviews here apply to the old, demolished Vons.) The new Vons is AMAZING! Twice the size of the old Vons... it's modern, spotless, excellent grocery selections, friendly Staff, lots of Security, spacious well-lit underground Parking. For Parking, enter off Lincoln and then take elevator, escalator or stairs up to the main floor.

  I am struggling to understand why the employees of this location came in swinging with a bad attitude. I’d previously visited twice, and one of those times the cashier was so rude when I asked for clarity on having to pay crv for a free 40 pack of water. I’d received the coupon in the mail and it said free water+crv which I took to mean that crv is waived or included. Off the bat the cashier responded “call corperate if you have a problem about it” and instantly being combative. I decided to give it another chance since I had the free pizza coupon. I ended up buying pork there as well, important later. I went to ring myself out at self check out, but the coupon wasn’t removing the cost of the pizza. I gently flagged the attendant since I didn’t want to drop the coupon in the receptacle if it is needed to correct the error. Jennifer, said attendant came over and without so much as a hello or letting me explain what the issue was and said “you need to drop the coupon in the slot”. Tried to say I wanted to be sure that is what to do to get the price dropped and she looked at me so rudely and “said yes” and then walked back to talk to the two security guards that I was so rude to pull her away from. I get home and go to marinate the pork and notice a disgusting scud on ALL the pieces. It was almost as if they knew it was bad and repackaged so it was not noticeable from the top. The room fills with the grossest smell. Naturally I throw away bc I don’t want them contaminating my fridge and the smell is nauseating. I come back today and speak with Benneth, the manager. I explain and show him the picture. Again, attitude! His response “Imma let it slide this time but next time you need to bring it back. Mold whatever i’m not refunding if you don’t bring it in” I said don’t worry, I will NEVER be coming back here again. I will stick to the neighborhood Trader Joe’s that takes pride in both customer service and the quality of food they are putting on their shelves. I refuse to spend my money at a place that thinks it’s ok to interact with customers this way. Whether you disagree with what the customer saying, or not understanding a situation, the first line of communication should never be to cop an attitude with someone. Btw - their floors are EXTREMELY slippery if you step in a wet spot so take care to wear sensible shoes when shopping here.

  Ah, Vons, you’ve outdone yourself. Pros: 1. Parking perfection — 90 minutes free with gloriously large spots so we don’t risk dinging our Beamers, Benzes, or Bentleys. A rare gift in Santa Monica. 2. A visual delight — spotless store, gorgeous layout, immaculate product facing. I found every last ingredient for my maple molasses marshmallow cookies without breaking a sweat. 3. Starbucks synergy — grabbed a latte before shopping and had a charming chat with the cashier who complimented my name and immediately referenced Shelby Mustangs. Say less. 💎 4. Seafood selection — King crab and snow crab for today’s gumbo. Say it with me: luxury. 😋 Cons: 1. The Escalator Debacle — Which man designed this masterpiece of inconvenience? An escalator for people but not for carts? Please. I had to hand-carry all my groceries like a peasant. Yes, there’s an elevator somewhere, but honestly… hello? 🤦🏼‍♀️ 2. Staff in standby mode — lovely and friendly, but perhaps a bit too available. Groups chatting in aisles give off “first day of summer break” energy. We’ll see how they manage when the holiday rush hits. 3. Coupon chaos — Asked before checkout if my Safeway number worked (it does—mostly). Turns out digital deals need the Vons app. Cashier handled it gracefully, even while an impatient bystander decided to insert himself into our perfectly pleasant exchange. Sir, this was not your moment. In this economy, I’ll take every discount I can get. Final verdict: A stunning store with all the charm, class, and seasonal sparkle one could ask for. Friendly team, premium selection, and just the right dash of chaos to keep things interesting. I’ll be back!

  Everything great as expected, but I was overcharged but the next day customer service corrected the amount and that item she extended to me for free that’s why I gave them four stars otherwise they deserve five

  Not a great experience. Staff is rough and poorly trained. I wanted to just put it all back and walk out. I did not enjoy this first experience here. The old Vons was much better so I can imagine with time the store will become better managed but overall I was not impressed.
