Probably the best Indian fusion food we have ever had. The curry puffs were 10/10 and the butter chicken was so hearty and delicious. Service was super friendly and our server gave us good recommendations. Definitely will be back.

Came here on our last day in Santa Monica before heading home, and it was the perfect send-off! We were seated right away, the waiter was incredibly helpful and friendly. The food arrived surprisingly fast, piping hot, and absolutely delicious. Every single dish impressed us, we all agreed it was the best meal we had in Santa Monica! Even the non-alcoholic drinks were super tasty and refreshing. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience at Cobi’s in Santa Monica overall. The food was excellent. We ordered the pork dumplings, curry puffs, and the beef short ribs (as recommended by our waitress), and everything was flavorful and well-executed. The short ribs in particular were a standout.
That said, we did run into a small issue before being seated. It was a busy Monday evening with a lot of reservations, so we were placed on the waitlist. However, there seemed to be some confusion at the front. We noticed an open table as soon as we arrived, but it took quite a while before we were seated, and the hostess didn’t appear to be aware that the table was available.
Aside from the initial wait, the experience and food definitely made up for it. Reservation recommended.

Dinner at Cobi’s is the kind of experience that makes you pause mid-bite and just clock it. Yes, it’s that good.
We ordered with ambition, as one should here: butter chicken, curry puff pastry, grilled prawns, Nasi Goreng fried rice, pork dumplings, and beef short ribs. Not a single miss. Truly. If I’m being forced into a “top three,” the fried rice, short ribs, and butter chicken take it. The curry puffs deserve their own moment as the standout side star. Flaky, rich, and gone far too quickly.
That said, calling it a top three feels unfair because the entire table was firing. The food is dynamic, layered, and deeply satisfying without feeling heavy. It’s the kind of menu that rewards curiosity. Order broadly.
Service was warm, dialed-in, and effortless. The kind that enhances the evening without ever interrupting it. The space is transportive, eclectic, and quietly sexy in that Santa Monica way.
A note on seating. Absolutely make a reservation. If you’re hoping for the small, beautifully decorated room, consider it a bit of a unicorn. Intimate, coveted, and not easy to secure. But the rest of the space holds its own. If you don’t land in that room, take a stroll through it anyway. It’s worth the peek.
Bottom line. 10/10. Come hungry, order generously, and settle in.

Cobi’s is one of those places that just feels good the moment you walk in. The whole restaurant has this warm, romantic ambience dim lighting, cozy corners, and décor that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. It’s perfect for a date night or just a chill evening where you want something a little special without being overly fancy.
The service is honestly one of the highlights. Everyone is super attentive in a way that feels genuine, not forced. They check in at the right times, keep things moving smoothly, and really make you feel taken care of.
The place definitely gets lively, so it’s not the spot for deep, serious conversations—but it’s not loud to the point where you’re shouting either. More like a fun, energetic buzz in the background.
One thing to know: they don’t have a spirits license, so no hard‑liquor cocktails. But they do offer other drinks that pair nicely with the food.
Overall, Cobi’s nails the atmosphere, the service, and the experience. A really memorable spot.
