  Ordered one dry-aged Kansas steak. Got charged for two 18 oz steaks because the waitress heard it as two separate orders. Didn’t realize until the receipt — by then we’d been struggling through 36 oz of beef wondering what was wrong with us.

  Oh my goodness I had the best steak ever and it was enough for me and my boyfriend to share. We also got two sides. Everything was perfect. Thanks for making my birthday memorable.

The core strength is execution: prime cuts (ribeye, filet) are consistently well-cooked, and standout sides like lobster mashed potatoes and seafood towers reinforce the premium positioning. The ambiance is a major differentiator—modern, upscale, with live music (sometimes) and a strong “celebration” vibe, making it ideal for business dinners or events rather than casual meals. Strengths High-quality steaks and seafood, generally well executed Strong service culture (attentive, event-oriented) Polished atmosphere with live entertainment Weak points Very expensive (often $200–300+ per person) Inconsistent execution at times (doneness, seasoning) Service can be utterly slow... Can feel transactional / “chain luxury” rather than unique A reliable upscale steakhouse optimized for experience and scale, not for nuance. Strong choice for client dinners or celebrations, but not the most refined or differentiated option in the Bay Area steak scene. Can be VERY loud at peak hours, and service can be extremely slow.

  Mediocre food and service. Ordered the porterhouse and was told they could do it medium well, came medium. But it’s fine because the plate is hot enough to cook it right? Wrong the plates were warm at best. Service was horrible, saw our waitress 2 times and we had to flag her down for a drink refill/order. The steak was underwhelming with not much flavour. Very disappointing as I expected to be similar to their NY/SF location.

  I celebrated my birthday, 3/19, with my siblings. We had sauteed sea scallops, Mastro's House salad & roasted bone marrow for starter. Then, for main dish, we shared their boneless ribeye 16oz, garlic truffle cauliflower and garlic mashed potato. We were given very hot plates to eat our steaks, family style. We enjoyed and relished our foods because it was the right amount that we liked. For dessert, we had chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. Wonderful birthday experience!
