- JBJames BondDec 11, 20251.0The most deceitful restaurant I’ve been to. The menu is extremely tricky with the item “hamburger” as one that pisses me off. I ordered the “hamburger” thinking it’s the first item and shouldn’t be expensive and should be basic. Well for my 12 year old daughter, wife, and I, the bill came to $60.23! I learned after I took my first bite that this hamburger was 2 patties. I didn’t order this thing fancy as the cashier was offering the works. I just wanted my hamburger the old fashioned way, buns, lettuce, patty, mustard, raw onions, and mayonnaise. My wife ordered the same and my daughter ordered a plain hotdog just dog and buns with a milkshake. We did order 1 medium fountain drink. When she rang up the total I asked the cashier why it was so expensive. She just said all items are listed and they don’t offer a combo meal. She could’ve told me that the hamburger was a double patty for starters. VERY DECEITFUL MENU!!!

The only products we offer that contain gluten are our buns, hot dogs (Canada only), HP sauce (UK only), and the malt vinegar condiment for our fries. In Canada, our Poutine Gravy condiment also contains gluten. All of our sandwiches, including burgers, hot dogs and the veggie sandwich, are available without a bun via our wrap or bowls.

Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.

Leftover fries are excellent reheated in the oven (or Air Fryer). According to Chad Murrell, one of the Five Guys, just pop them in a 350-degree oven for about 10-15 minutes.
