Normally EBT and WIC card holders do not have to be charged extra for bags. When the cashier asked me if I’d like one or two bags I thought nothing of it and took one and said I’ll see and began bagging. She told me that I needed 20 cents and I said oh I used WIC and shown my card as I normally do with a smile. The women said well sometimes you have to pay it anyways so I began pulling items out of the bag I was using. As I shook my head I told her that didn’t sound right. She had security walking towards me and my 19 month old daughter with the receipt still in my hand. I tossed my already purchased through WIC Grocery items in the cart and pushed them and my child out the door leaving the bags behind as I felt our safety was being threatened because she wanted 20 cents that I truly did not have. I will never bring my toddler to this location again as it is unsafe. This incident happened around 1:30 pm Tuesday November 18th 2025 Hispanic Blonde women between age 30-40 brown eyes shorter than me maybe 5”3-5”4 inches tall was the worker. Security officer didn’t proceed to do anything he might’ve seen I had my baby a WIC card and receipt in as I rushed away in fear. He was younger Hispanic black hair I didn’t see much else.
