- LRLesley RiveraSep 19, 20251.0I’m not usually one to review restaurants but this interaction was very disappointing. My family and I went to ALO FRESCO (near Cal State University of San Marcos). We were ordering on the iPads and my brother had a question about a juice and he kindly asked a man who was working there if the juice was freshly made and if so if they can add more pineapple… the man rudely responded “we do make it fresh but it’s already made in the morning”. It sounded like he didn’t want to keep the words to himself so a few seconds later he said “the correct way to ask next time is.. is it made to order”. My brother felt awkward and embarrassed. I was ordering two bowls and when I heard that interaction I wanted to leave because there is nothing for embarrassing than someone telling you what to say. This left a bad taste in my mouth and we were super excited to try this place out especially since I’m a CSUSM alumni and visit the farmers market weekly. If the owner or worker sees this please work on customer service and also update your menu.. we spent like 5 mins trying to find some items that apparently aren’t on the menu anymore.
