Made reservations for Easter Brunch at 10:30 am. We included on the reservations we were celebrating our anniversary! Doors opened exactly at 10:30 am (white male). He greeted everyone (white people), but when my husband and I approached the door, he turned his head. He then called the waiter/waitress to come out because had the customers arrived.
We gave the female at the door our name, and she checked us out, and she said something (mumbled), and I said, we stand over here..and she said yes.
As we wait, she called our name, we walk up, our waiter greeted us, and walked us to our table. We requested non alcoholic drinks, and he said they have a hibiscus drink, and it is delicious!
The waiter explained the menu: Salad, soups, The main course, and dessert. 2 Course: Entree, dessert for $29, 3 Course, Soup/salad, main dish, dessert.
I had the pork chop with chuney, ceseasr salad, and key lime pie, and my husband had, roasted chicken with panko, mashed potatoes, and vegetables.
When the waiter explained the menu, he said, the soup or salad goes with this, and you can have dessert with this.
While I was eating my salad, a large mosquito jumped on the table by my salad. Before the mosquito gets on my salad, I showed my husband, and he takes some napkins, and grabs the mosquito. When the waiter comes back, my husband shows him the napkins, and the waiter opens the napkins, and walks away (no apologies!)
We informed the waiter we were ready to go, and he gives us our bill. As we look over the bill, we noticed the soup/salad was $5.00, and dessert was $5.00, and hibiscus tea $7.50.
We thought the main course INCLUDED soup/salad, and dessert. The total amount was $139.99. We call the male who was at the door when the restaurant opened. I asked him was he the manager, and he said, I'm the General Manager. So he explained that everything is itemized (which wasn't explained to us by the waiter).
I told the General Manager, that's not what we expected. He said, what did you expect? My husband said we didn't know you were here!
1) The food wasn't delicious (no taste)
2) The Hibiscus Tea was delicious
3) We received no apologies for the mosquito on the table while I was eating my salad
4) The General Manager ignored us as we entered the restaurant
5) We didn't receive any acknowledgement on celebrating our anniversary
