  While the food was good, the worker who was handing out the food (I believe I heard her coworkers call her Eleanor?) was incredibly, unbelievably rude. She rolled her eyes if customers had a question, slammed down bags, groaned loudly nonstop, and created an overall negative aura. The other people working were very kind, attentive, and polite, though. Thank you to the rest who tried to save the atmosphere…

  I’ve been to this Smashburger location many times, and the food has always been great. The staff has typically been friendly, helpful, and cheerful, which is a big reason why we continue to come back. Unfortunately, tonight’s visit was completely different and easily the worst experience we’ve had here. The atmosphere and service were extremely disappointing. The employee at the register acted as though every interaction was an inconvenience. I was charged incorrectly, and when I politely pointed it out after paying, she sighed and responded with an “ugh” before correcting it. While she was working on the refund with a manager, I asked if I could grab my drink cups in the meantime and was met with another reluctant response. When our food was brought out, it was essentially dropped on the table without any acknowledgment or courtesy. Later, when I asked for a fork and knife, the same dismissive attitude continued — no smile, minimal communication, and clear annoyance at being asked for basic items. I also requested a to-go box for a hot dog and was given one barely half the size needed. When I asked if there was a larger option, I was told none were available, which was surprising for a restaurant that regularly serves hot dogs. This is the first time we’ve encountered service like this here, and it stood out for all the wrong reasons. The two employees working the front tonight (visit on Feb 26 created an experience that genuinely made us question whether we would return if this is the level of service going forward. The food remains excellent, but service like this will drive customers away. I hope management reviews staffing and addresses these issues, because this location has historically provided a much better experience and deserves to maintain that standard.
