What a disaster at the meat and fish counter. Nobody there. No bell to ring no way to notify that there's a customer sitting at the counter. It's not that difficult at a supermarket. Have people ready to sell things?

Sad existence of a Safeway. It's an older store but that isn't an issue; the employees attitudes towards people seems to leave quite a bit to be desired. I'm sure they deal with some people that can try their patience at times, but that doesn't mean everybody is like that. I get the sense that they might possibly believe most people are bad or negative in nature. When most people are probably just doing some grocery shopping. I just recently started doing there again, because it's close to where I live, and I'm trying to stay positive to ensure that I didn't contribute to this atmosphere. So far it's been a little more pleasant than what I was previous idk my used to. I might have to update this soon to give this store a better grade, and I hope that's true...

I guess it's a sign of the times but I didn't realize that they had to lock up laundry tablets. It would seem that my cashier had something going on, because I had never had a more miserable cashier EVER. I didn't complain because everyone deserves some grace. If I'm back there and I get the same attitude from her, there will be a complaint.

Just left self checkout where we had 2 separate transactions but Nadine, front end lead felt it necessary to yell loudly that next time we need to go to a regular line. When we informed her that my son and I have 2 transactions she became even louder and said several times "WELL IM NOT ACCUSING YOU". First Nadine, yes you did and loudly. I think you may be a loud talker naturally but mix that with caffeine and being short-staffed and it comes across as out-of-control. I am sure that isn't your intention but it was the result. We shook oit heads and continued with our transaction. Second, I felt terrible when only moments later Nadine crosses the path of a small elderly woman needing help with lotto. Nadine puts her hand up in the woman's face as she walks by and yells, "Nope, I cannot help.you right now you will just have to wait ". Dismissive, overwhelmed and unprofessional. Made the whole vibe change instantly embarrassed for that woman. Nadine is not where she needs to be right now. She treats customers poorly and looks very overwhelmed in her job right now. Please get staffed so she can take a breath, she deserves to enjoy her job. I live nearby but will try to go to the other Berryessa location in the future.

You’ll love my experience tonight?! I went in to buy a few things and all the hand scanners were gone except 1. I ask for help as I had a large item. They said “goto a register”. I pointed out the scanner situation and again ask for help and the 2 register employees just looked as if they did not care so I said I would leave if I did not get any help?! Things escalated from there and some 30 something tough guy in black came at me with his fist in his hand as he came at me saying “What is the problem”? I told him to get out of my face and I mean now! About that time a lady came over and ask me if she could help me check out?! I responded yes please and I pointed out to the others “that is customer service”. As I was leaving I asked for tough guys name and everybody clammed up, so I said smile and took his picture. Now I have a case number with customer service and I’m expecting to hear back on Monday from the regional manager. If nothing ever happens? My money spends elsewhere…
