I drove to this safeway for the convenience of it being near my home and the first thing I noticed was the smell of the fish section being very pungent (no big deal its normal). I went there to get steaks but the steak selection was very limited and didn't have what I needed, luckily I found 1 of my items I've been looking for. I didn't want to use self check out because I was trying to look for the next store to rush to. Unfortunately I was met with one of the workers that was African American with long nails. She had noticed I had only 1 item and had said "what you didn't want to go to a self checkout line? You have 1 item" so already annoyed by my waste of a trip but also met with that comment. After the experience I had thought why does it matter if I only have 1 item. I'm paying for the item that contributes to putting money into your pocket. You get paid to do this job. I don't. I never leave reviews but considering today is my birthday, that whole interaction made today feel terrible.
