I guess I've been spoiled by regularly shopping at a larger Safeway. I happened to be in the area and decided to get a several items. I left with about half of what I intended. Also, the fruit and vegetable section is smaller than Target's.

I placed an order for pick up at Safeway at the corner of Bird and Minnesota Avenue, San Jose, California. Normally one pulls into a parking spot designated for pick up, cause the number posted on the sign at the parking spot gives the order information and the order is delivered. At the Safeway, the telephone number does not work. The message my son got was something like voicemail has not been set up for this number. When he went into the store and spoke with a clerk, he was told by the clerk that the number did not work, you had to call the store directly, and everyone knew that. That means store management knew they had a nonfunctioning number and did not post the correct number for their customers to utilize. Very poor customer service.

Art and Diane are wonderful - I’m one of their early morning shoppers. And Andrew, the store manager, is the best! He helped me pick out a couple of ripe avocados for my daughter (she just had surgery) since his produce team was gone for the evening.
