  WOW. I wasn’t expecting the food to be that good for how affordable it was - $1.99 for a cheese burger/hamburger. The food did not disappoint, it was flavourful and juicy and the grilled cheese was crispy and gooey. 10/10 would try again.

  How can you beat a $2 hamburger and a $3 cheeseburger in 2025(soon to be '26)?! Campus Burger is undoubtedly the best bang for your buck if you're hungry and in downtown SJ; there is seating but space is limited and its usually pretty packed, however this is mitigated by the fact that there are many benches/tabes within a block or two(weather permitting). Staff is always friendly and have gotten a few laughs out of me for sure and they are open super late which is a bonus. I've heard the campus fries are really good but haven't tried them myself yet(the regular fries are pretty good, especially if you prefer thicker fries).

  I know this place is supposed to be the hot new thing but the burger quality just wasn't there for me. I couldn't finish my burger. It just tasted like cheap meat (given the price point this makes sense).

  First time here, introduced by a friend, and honestly exactly what I wanted. Nothing fancy, just quick, fast, and comforting. It's basically an outdoor kiosk-style booth, super casual. The vibe kind of reminds me of In-N-Out, just in style, old-fashioned, classic, and straightforward. A small menu, all burgers, no overthinking it. We ordered a double cheeseburger, french fries, and a soda, and everything came out in under five minutes. The double cheeseburger hit the spot, simple and satisfying, the kind of burger you crave when you're hungry and don't want anything complicated. The fries were great, crispy and hot, and they give you a ton of them, like a big tall cup overflowing. For $11.99 for the whole meal, that's kind of a steal these days. We just sat outside and ate. It's right near the Susan and Phil Hammer Theater Center. Parking probably isn't the easiest, the closest cheap option is a paid lot, but you can park nearby if you're willing to walk a bit. We were so hungry I didn't even take photos this time, but I definitely will next time. I'll absolutely be back when I want a quick burger and some really good fries. Simple, fast, and worth it.

  We visited Campus Burger with our life skills class, and Jim was amazing. He took everyone's order himself, helped prepare the food, and generously covered the entire meal. Everything was delicious, and the kids loved their fried in cups! Thank you for your kindness and unforgettable experience for our kids!
