  We bought an $8 foil ballon here and it deflated right away. When asked for an exchange (not even refund), the florist lady told us it would cost $4 to re-inflate it, which is insane.

  Don't know why they don't have automated checkouts. I've got better things to do on a Tuesday night than waiting in a queue for 20 minutes while three poor checkout operators deal with 50 people buying a few odd items.

  Waiting 15 min for someone to help me get tide out the lock area . I asked this lady and she kept talking her self away. This the worst Safeway in San Francisco slow no customer service food be old it smells like pee nasty .

  Safeway should be held accountable for contributing to unsanitary conditions in public spaces by consistently closing customer restrooms. Even paying customers are FREQUENTLY denied access, typically with the same repeated excuses like “the bathroom is broken” or “closed for the night.” As a driver, I hear this across the entire state and it’s not an isolated issue, it’s a pattern. Basic restroom access is a standard part of customer service in the country, yet here in California it’s treated as optional or avoided altogether. That sends a clear message about how customers are NOT valued. Businesses should take responsibility for providing reasonable accommodations instead of normalizing inconvenience and passing it off with excuses. If companies want customer loyalty and respect, they should start by showing it.
