  There was an issue with the service attitude at this restaurant. Other than that, everything was great. This is a restaurant known for its high quality food and widespread acclaim, and I hope to visit again and update my review based on my future experience.

  Hinodeya is situated in a happening area of the Marina and serves excellent quality food. Went with my partner for a date night we got swift service and excellent quality food. The Umami Brussels sprouts were perfectly cooked with bonito flakes dancing as the steam wafted from the plate. My ramen was light and flavourful and, though I’m not the biggest fish fan, the dashi broth was not overwhelming. Hinodeya also has great vegan ramen options, which is uncommon. My partner is vegan and this was a great feature for them. Additionally, the garden patio in the back is a lovely place to sit for a meal. Tables can be close together, but it creates a nice communal energy. And may lead to fun conversation across groups.

  Lovely place and very aromatic, but For anyone who’s vegan and wanting to eat here and are worried about cross contamination, the vegan options here are not fully vegan. All of the vegetables, sides, and vegan plates, are fried in the same fryer as all of the meats. And the spicy edamame contains fish sauce. The only thing you’d be able to get here is the plain edamame. Lovely atmosphere nonetheless, and I appreciate the waitress for letting us know about the oil situation.
