Udupi palace, located in the heart of the Silicon Valley, for the last 16 years has brought the flavors of South Indian vegetarian cuisine to the Bay Area. This is 'pure' vegetarian food. The ubiquitous Indian dish Masala Dosa has its origins in Udupi. Rasam, a spicy pepper water, is another essential part of the menu. Our sambhar has its own unique taste. Vada felt undercooked & bland. Dahi vada used thick yogurt and less spices, making it like a chaat. Dosa was good, and the chutneys were average.
