Party of 5 at 6pm. The place was filling up. Dinner was good but I have had better greek cuisine, not including Greece. As more patrons came in, the noise level became fairly high and hearing each other over the background chatter became more of a challenge. When the time came to settle our bill, we were presented with a request for a 5-15% tip but, looking more closely at the check, I noticed a taxable 20% service fee had been already included. I did not recall seeing that on the menu. Not sure the overall experience calls for a repeat visit.

Very nice place within walking distance from our resort. I loved the Greek salsa with pita bread. Tomato, lime, garlic with a mild spice that you can’t stop from digging into.

I can't find a single bad comment about the Parthenon. Great night and the food was beyond fantastic. I was blown away by the quality, freshness and taste. You can tell the kitchen is run on a very high standard. A must if you fancy Greek food. Thanks for a memorable dining experience.

This place is amazing. I highly recommend both for locals and the visitors. The food was authentic and the service was first class. I went on a weekend and there was live music. It's a great spot both for groups and for a date night at the heart of San Francisco.

We just got back from a weekend visit to San Francisco and had the joy of eating at the Parthenon. The salmon was cooked to perfection, and the sauce was creamy, delicious, and when paired with the salmon, every bite melted in your mouth. The steak skewers were also exeptional. As a steak lover, I typically just prefer to eat my steak as a 1 - 1 1/2 thick cut, but the skewers turned out to be amazing. The steak was a perfect medium rare, seasoned just right, and for a top sirloin steak they were shockingly tender! What caught me off guard the most however, was the spinach under the salmon. I don't remember the last time I enjoyed eating spinach, but the spinach was the best I've ever had. I don't know why exactly (maybe it was the sauce from the salmon that got mixed in), but I would always eat my veggies if I had that spinach to fall back on!
The service was warm and attentive, the servers were always coming back to fill waters as needed, and we never felt out of place!
The next time we visit San Francisco, we will be looking forward to returning to the Parthenon to try some of their other items on the menu!
The Parthenon is open every day from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM and again from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
