After leaving the store, we were told that I had dropped something and it was being held inside. These were two undercover security guys wearing soccer jerseys. We went back in and they locked us in a room and said we stole stuff. They rummaged through my backpack, took my monster energy drinks I bought from 7/11, refused to show us the footage of us "stealing", and couldn't come up with a reason for why I would've stolen $2 of merchandise while buying over $50. I thought maybe they imagined this when I pulled my girlfriend's phone out of the pack, and to check the footage again, but they refused and STOLE MY PROPERTY. My mom was infuriated and contacted the store for over a month, and the manager dodged us and was unavailable every single day. This happened nearly 20 years ago and I think about it every time I see a Safeway. YOU STOLE FROM ME, OR EVEN WORSE, TOOK ADVANTAGE OF A 17 YEAR OLD
